Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was really really impressed with all your precautions and the way your pub has been redesigned to accommodate your customers safely. Just one point, using the same pen to fill in your customers contact details needs to be looked at. It may be an ideal to alcohol wipe the pen each time it’s used

Visited King Arthur's Arms Inn at Tintagel 09/08/20 for family dinner. As my daughter suffers with Asthma she is very anxious with social distancing. However at the King Arthurs Arms we felt totally relaxed. We had a table outside, only myself went inside to place our order at the bar which had plastic shields and all staff wore masks and /or visors. Inside there is a one way system in place and gel and wipes outside the toilets. The food arrived pretty quick and it was most delicious, we had 2 x fish pies and 2 x vegetable lasagne.
We shall definitively visit again soon.

I returned home today from a week in Tintagel and my parents and myself ate at the King Arthur's Arms Inn most days as we have been there many time over the years and never fail to be impressed with the whole experience.
The food was excellent and always presented with perfection and smiles, the waiting time was hardly noticeable.
The measures put into place during these Covid times were impeccable and we felt safe completely on every visit, the staff adhered to all the right procedures.
We were made to feel welcome and valued from start to finish, I would like to mention in particular Helen, Monika, Flic, Sam and Kate who went out of their way to make our dining experiences fantastic - I would highly recommend them all for double pay rises ;)
The ambience was calm and peaceful, the food delicious and cooked to perfection and the drinks spot on.
We shall definitely be returning many times and shall be booking a stay there on our next visit.
Amazing place, amazing staff, if you are looking for value for money served by some of the loveliest people on the planet, then this is your place. I score it 1000/10

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights B, B & D as part of a wider group of disabled people. Our rooms were excellent, loads of room for wheelchairs/powerchairs and a massive wet room. My husband counted 36 plug holes, everywhere, so no problem charging your chair etc. 2 very comfortable electric recliner chairs and electric beds (6ft double and single). Very impressed they had the little things like touch sensitive bed-side lights. Spotlessly clean, just as the photos on the website. Staff were so helpful from the moment we arrived, checking to ensure we got what we need. Were happy to carry drinks for us from the bar and even learnt our names over the week. After reading earlier reviews I was really concerned about what the food would be like, we had no concerns, it was lovely, well cooked, well presented, hot and filling. Even a lovely pub cat to make friends with. PS We got warm water in the shower (rather than boiling or freezing) by pressing the economy button.

We took our motorhome to Tintagel for the weekend of storm Dennis! For £8 you can park for 24 hrs in the car park of the King Arthurs Arms Inn. There are nearby toilets for 50p a p, but if youre self sufficient its great. The pub opens at 9am for breakfast if you need it and the breakfast is good! Although a pot of tea with extra hot water is always better. A good evening menu and a specials board. I expect the summer season is a lot more busy but definately worth a visit.

The pub is all set out for social distancing and you have to use front entrance if you want a table to eat in & all staff are wearing the shield masks. Lovely welcome when we said we were sat outside & do we come inside to order they said someone would come out to us to take our order. We asked where the toilets were & again all set up for social distancing in case theres a queue. We were thankful of the use of the toilets as all the other public toilets were closed & not even my moms radar key worked for the disabled toilet which we thought was really bad as other towns we had visited all had their public toilets open but that's not the pubs fault. We filled out our details with their pen & slip of paper & ordered a cream tea & were asked if we wanted fruit or plain scones. Cream teas were lovely but we did have to ask for the milk for our teas & cutlery but it was obvious they were rushed off their feet & we were told later they were still short staffed due to furlough so understandable. They have a good choice of ales & decided to sample half of the padstow may day pale ale which was nice. We left my hubby , son & doggies to chill finishing their drinks while we went to look at the shops then decided to have an irish coffee when we returned which was nice. Tables were sterilised after people left. The only thing I would say is that it still says order at the bar with table number so it just needs to be covered saying that your order will be taken at the table & bought out. Well done to the staff who are adhering to the new rules.

King Arthur had a Round Table but this Pub prefers the rectangular version, however, the food was excellent and there was, for a pleasant change, a large selection of Bitter and Pale Ales on Draught along with plenty of Ciders to choose from. The large adjacent car park was £1.80, however, if you had food in excess of £20 the parking charge was taken off your bill. The menu was extensive and reasonably priced for a pub in this vicinity, when it arrived the food was hot, well presented and the portions quite large, we were pretty stuffed when we left, so took the dogs for a good walk to get rid of the excess. All in All a pub I would be happy to visit again in the future.

We stopped today for breakfast on a visit to Tintagel. We were greeted by a very friendly lady at the door who explained the system in place due to COVID. All staff, from the barman that took our order to the young waitress that delivered our food, were polite and helpful. Our breakfasts were delicious. It was a nice surprise to find that because of the government eating out incentive, our bill was reduced by 50%. We had to rush off as we had a nearby visitor attraction booked and we were unsure of the distance so did not get a chance to thank staff for a fantastic meal. My husband is already planning a return visit.

We went there and thought we would treat the family to cream teas as one does in Cornwall. I have never been more disappointed, they cost £6.45 for 2 and a small cup of tea. The scones were doughy and not cooked properly, it all arrived separate so the tea was cold by the time we got the scones, and there was not enough cream and jam to spread.
Next time I will stick to the tesco mass produced version. Won't visit this place again. Save your money.

Definitely won't be visiting again! Appalling customer service and welcome. We arrived for lunch but were told that food would not be served until after 12-30 so ordered drinks. Barman initially ignored my partner who asked if we could put the drinks on the meal tab; he then said yes but then came outside and asked him to pay for them. We had to wait 45 minutes for our meals -just a ploughman's and ham, egg and chips. The waitress was not impressed as wcaskef for vinegar. The hot meal was lukewarm at best and the salad leaves had seen better days. Staff then began telling prospective customers that either they weren't taking any good orders and then that no more orders could be taken until after 1 o'clock due to a backlog. Many people left and went elsewhere. Not one member of staff smiled - how sad and disappointing on our second day here.

Is secure motorcycle parking available?
Answer from kingarthursarmsinn
Hi Andy, We do not offer specific secure motorcycle parking. Our large pay and display public car park is adjacent to the Inn and there is CCTV in operation. When Motorcycle clubs stay with us they are usually able to park their bikes close to the Inn. As far as we are aware, we haven't had a motorcycle stolen from, or vandalised in, our car park. If you would like to know anything further, please do not hesitate to phone me on 01840 770628.
