The place is in the middle of the village and is a lovely little family run B&B. Our room was quite small with the street lamp right outside the window; the bathroom was across the hall and the bed was a queen size, which is a bit too small for two people for taste, so it wasn't luxurious, but then...

Unusual setting in the centre of Clovelly...a steep cobbled hIll to walk down (and back up) to get to it. Lovely helpful host and super cooked breakfast. The room was large and simple. Decor was tired and worn. Shared bathroom was clean and the bed was ok. Lack of TV in the room (one in lounge available) was not a...

We stayed for two nights and this little B&B takes you back in time and i have to say we loved it. We didnt miss the fact that there was no tv in the bedroom and didnt mind sharing the bathroom. We stayed in bedroom 1 which was very spacious and had lovely views across the main street and of...

A wonderful, quaint bed and breakfast in the heart of Clovelly's main (only) street. The B&B has all you need and feels like home as soon as you arrive. Debbie and her husband were more than helpful, with a flexible check-out, storing our bags, providing dairy free options for breakfast and even lending me a hair dryer. Also they gave...

Lovely little B&B in perfect location in Clovelly; unique situation. Unfussy and basic but quaint. Wifi available. So lovely to have no TV in room for a change. Excellent delicious breakfast with gluten free sausages! Good for coeliacs. Very friendly host.

Arriving here was like arriving at a favourite Aunt's house. It is not scrubbed up and shiny but just a real homely feel and lovely hosts. Breakfast was fabulous and when I wanted it. I really could have done with a bath but no plug. However the shower was fine. It was not ensuite, the bathroom was across the hall....

A lovely stay we were made to feel part of the family, we will be returning next year! The Donkey Shoe Cottage was ideally situated half way up on the famous cobbled street. Breakfast was served at a time that suited us- we are early risers.

The twin room that we got (at a pretty good price too) was actually beter than a twin, as the second bed was in its own, separate little room, with its own window overlooking the charming cobbled street and a glorious sea view. Due to traffic we unfortunately arrived there quite late (10.30pm), which the very friendly hosts kindly agreed...

Easy to find, on the left, as you go down the hill. Shower across the hall. There is a bath, but there is no plug, and the hot water dribbles out anyway. There is a washbasin in the room, and a heater, which was already switched on (nice touch), having booked in advance, but no TV, and no bedside tables...

staying in car-free Clovelly overnight is a unique experience. Avoid paying the entry fee and be there when the coach trip crowds aren't! Donkeyshoe Cottage is as charming as the name suggests, a friendly B&B. The double bedroom is surprisingly spacious, but the accommodation is a bit scruffy and the bathroom is shared not ensuite. But the price is reasonable...
