Nice room, comfortable, warm bed. Excellent tea and coffee and a good shower. There is no parking at the property as the street it is on is hardly a car width, but a 2 minute walk to the main square and there is the main town car park. No breakfast either, but if you sign up to this place you know that! Dartmouth has a range of really good restraurants and cafe open for breakfast, so this is even a benefit as it makes you explore. Pam, the owner and her dog are both lovely. Dartmouth is very hilly, so good sturdy shoes are needed.
If you're looking for a quaint, old fashioned English seaside B&B in a semi-secluded, convenient, quiet location then check this one out. Only downsides are no breakfast and its down a very narrow alley road with no parking (a problem in Darmouth). We found the former very disappointing but luckily was shown a free parking spot in the visible distance by the friendly owner.
Well , what can I say. You can't find a better place to stay here in Dartmouth. The owners are lovely and helpful, we had a great stay, breakfast was really good and fresh. Thank you John and Pam we will be back soon. Joan and Shirley
Firstly, would we stay here again. the answer is YES My wife and I had 4 nights here. One night in the Britannia Suite, three nights in the Southford Suite. This was due to a cross over of the nights we required with other guests. Both rooms are very different but offer excellent bedding & surroundings and are both very comfortable. The B & B is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Breakfast is a delight, superbly cooked with plenty of variety. It's worth noting you receive a pass that allows free parking in the centre of Dartmouth, this is a real bonus. The road to the front of the B & B, as mentioned in previous reviews, is very tight. But any competent driver will manage to get an average vehicle along it. Its also worth mentioning the owners Pam and John, who are fantastic hosts and work real hard to ensure your stay is comfortable.…
My wife and I had wonderful stay albeit to short! The welcome was wonderful, john is a true character and pam the perfect hostess. Nothing was to much trouble, the breakfast beautifully cooked, the rooms are clean, beautifully presented and the house offers you a perfect base for a stay in Dartmouth. A special thank you to Pam for getting up at 6am to cook our breakfast due to an early start back, service beyond the call of duty. We will be back, in fact we are this weekend!
