Although we had a few problems team Premier Inn St David’s stepped up, particularly Ryan and Millie. The area is wonderful , we had a pre booked tour of Sanford Orchards Cider and ate in a fab Indian called Namaste .

First time at the Premier Inn Exeter St. David’s. Perfect location with main railway station opposite the hotel. Excellent access and space for disabled guests or those with restricted mobility though there is no hotel car park there is a pay and display car park at the station and on-street pay at meter parking outside the hotel ( blue badge holders are free) there is also a drop off lay-by outside the hotel entrance .
Classic PI rooms with big clean crisp beds, hard and soft pillows though the refreshments tray is rather meagre, you can ask for top ups at reception. Lift to all floors
The only drawback is no mobile phone service and the Fred WiFi is poor
Spacious restaurant with a limited menu but a good selection for breakfast with full cooked/cereals/yoghurts/pastries/breads & fruit.
An excellent location just 15 minutes walk into the city centre.
Definitely on our list for a re-stay when next in N Devon

This is a great base for exploring Devon cos its next to the mainline railway station and near to the major road networks, but also cos its hotel rates are a lot cheaper than being on the coast. Most Premier Inns are of the same perfectly ok standard that ensures you have a comfortable stay. However we were there for 6 nights and in that time our room was not serviced once. Each day put the dirty towels outside our room and when we went for breakfast picked up clean towels. After breakfast daily ritual of taking our room bin to the main bin by the reception. Equally breakfast was good value but beware no fresh fruit- no idea why, limited cold breakfast and no poached eggs. Some of the hotel measures will relate to covid but equally some were clearly cost cutting. Post covid I'm sure if we returned great chance it would get an excellent rating but on this occasion felt they could have done a little more.

Wow, so organised! Everything has been thought of to be as covid secure as possible. Love the timed slots for breakfast - which was delicious. The take away evening meals were good value and tasty even thought the menu was a bit limited- the brownies were amazing! Staff were SO helpful and friendly. This is by far the best hotel we have stayed in in Exeter. The location is very good, so close to Exeter St David's station and the city centre is accessible either by bus outside the station or by walking.

No phone signal in the room or any of the communal areas or in the restaurant. We were told to try by the window in our room but that didn't work! The wi-fi wasn't working either during our stay so it made communication impossible and we had a number of appointments over the 2 days we were in the area. The restaurant was closed for evening meals due to covid, which is fair enough, and they were providing a very limited menu to enable people to eat in their rooms. However, if you don't like curry or pasta, you need to find somewhere else to eat.

Stayed here for 1 night (13.09.20) we had a double room. Room was really clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable.
The hotel is directly opposite Exeter st Davids train station and you can park in the large car park there. It was £7 for 24 hours (Sunday rate) but week days its just over £11
Location is great, 10 min walk to the city centre and 5 min from the University
The only down side was the traffic noise. We were in room 310 which overlooked the station and car park.
Between the car park and the hotel is a main road. I wouldn't normally moan about a bit of noise but even with the window shut my husband and I couldn't get any sleep after 5.30am
I would definitely stay again but if we do I will ask if we can have a room on the other side of the hotel!

This is a decent PI in a great location. Staff are friendly and helpful. But be aware that the breakfast room has very limited capacity - on Tuesday the first 8-9am breakfast slot we could book was on Friday. So don't pay in advance for breakfast because you will be offer it at (say) 10am - just factor in the 5 minue walk to the Imperial where you will get a better, cheaper breakfast when you want it. There's also a Costa Coffee opposite.

Although we live fairly local stayed here for a short break and chose this particular PI due to close proximity to St Davids train station. We were warmly greeted at check-in. Our room was clean and comfortable - although my husband felt the mattress was too hard for him. Changes are in place due to covid and we didn't have room service during our stay. As we were staying for four nights would have liked extra pillows and towels available in the room - however anything we needed such as extra coffee and milk was no problem. We ate breakfast once during our stay. It was table service apart from getting your own toast and hot drinks by following the one way system. No evening meals were available during our stay and the bar was closed although we were informed we could order drinks up until 10pm and take them to our room.

Superb location for Exeter St David's railway station, one minute walk from the main entrance/exit, also very handy for the bus to Exeter airport. About a 15/20 minute walk to the city centre, Catherdral etc., but you can also get a bus or train to the central station, which is very close to the centre. We arrived by train, but if coming by car there is no designated parking at the premier inn, but a pay and display car park is just opposite the hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights in September, good location if travelling by train, be warned a rather long walk to the main town via a very steep hill. Room was ok, bit to hot and a lot of noise if you are at the front of the hotel with the road overnight. Good Covid procedures in place.
