This is an excellent place to spend the evening. It was well worth the walk down the hill (and back up!) from Lynton, where we were staying. We had a fantastic meal, amongst the best ever (we eat out a lot). Super menu, with great vegetarian options, large selection of real ales and a good wine list. The desserts are...

We ate here on several occasions during our stay in Lynmouth. We had the crab platter, roasted seafood, fish and chips, mussels etc. All of the dishes were excellent. We ate in the bar mostly but enjoyed a celebration meal in the lovely dining room. Best to book if you want to eat in the dining room...even in December. The...

Thank you for choosing the Rising Sun as a place to eat whilst staying in Lynmouth. Judging by your excellent comments you enjoyed your chosen dishes. We do get busy so would always recommend pre booking the restaurant, especially if it is for a special occasion. We thank you for your review and look forward to welcoming you back again...

Very welcoming and cosy place. Dog friendly and had nice afternoon here for a drink. Bit pricey nearly £11 for glass wine and pint bitter in fact more than London prices which I'm used to but nevertheless great place . Food looked good especially seafood.

We were very pleased you found us to be very welcoming. Just what we would want for our customers. Our wine is sold in either 175ml or 250ml glasses this measure equates to a 1/3 of a bottle. Our wine is priced according to the size of glass and the wine chosen these prices are clearly marked on our wine...

If you walk down the Harbourside Lynmouth at night it's deserted not a sole in sight. That's because there all in the Rising Sun have a great evening. It's warm and welcoming great atmosphere. Five stars.

The staff are without exception friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and we were able to eat just outside the restaurant with our dog. We were in the annexed. A nicely decorated room but very small. Next time we would go for a bigger room. Perhaps the really fabulous Shelley's cottage. Despite the...

Our rooms do vary in size due to the nature of our lovely old building. Dogs are very welcome in the bar area and some our rooms either in the annexe or main Hotel. Although you cant take your dog into the Restaurant we are more than happy to set a lobby table for any guest wishing to bring their...
