Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice spot and generally well kept site giving good walking access to Lynton Stayed on touring pitches which are fine Unfortunately our stay was spoilt as a dog in a caravan opposite went crazy every time we walked on or off our pitch dogs were not on leads despite many sign’s saying they should be We was woken early every morning by barking dogs One morning a dog was charging around the site for 20mins barking like crazy without any owner to be seen Not what I call an relaxing experience We intended to stay longer but decided to just go

The site is beautifully located with wooded hilly walks over the river bridge. There is a small shop for the basics and other shops are within a mile or so. The staff on site are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a lovely lodge which was well equipped. Our only suggestion is that it should be clearer that the dog walking area is outside the site over the river bridge and a distance from the lodges but close to the camping areas.

I have been coming to Sunny Lyn for over 25 years. I have always loved the area and the campsite with the stream running through it is perfect. There is a great walk from here to Watersmeet for lunch or a cream tea. A nice pub with Thai food is at the bottom of the campsite.

Spent 3 nights here. Had to pay for a riverside pitch as only one left. Lovely views but a small pitch, couldn't attach the awning to the motorhome as it was near the road and our motorhome is only 6ft long. OK if you are in a small camper. Toilets and showers lovely and location for us was good but you need to be able to be good walkers as steep hill to the bus stop.

This is a lovely small campsite in a valley with a fast flowing river running through it. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were spotlessly clean and were probably the best that we have found on a campsite. Plenty of space given between tents, just a shame that when we went it rained every day! We will definitely go back and hopefully this time the sun will shine.

I've got my love of camping back! A mixed site with lodges, static caravans and a small camping area for tents by the river. The site is immaculate and well maintained. Toilets and showers have clearly been recently refurbished and are spotless. Lovely hot showers. They even provided washing up liquid for us folk who forget! Those little touches make a big difference! The area is beautiful, great walks, lots of hills! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and were genuinely interested in folk enjoying their stay. Dog friendly site with great walk just offsite. Recommend to those looking for a peaceful break, we really didn't want to leave.

We booked by phone which was easy, very friendly lady in the phone. Arrived and was shown efficiently where our pitch was. Parked up and pitched no problem . Toilets spotless Showers (just 2 on site for ladies, 2 in the gents) spotless, good temp, so nice to have a separate area within the shower area to hang your towel etc, plus a seat. Pitch clean and tidy. There are 2 hairdryers in the area, need 50ps to use them. Shop adequate Onsite cafe open 8.30 - 10.30am, spanking, good priced breakfast. Great walk for dogs, very close to site, off lead which is great. All in all, good, clean, friendly site. Would recommend.

A small but perfectly formed camp site, we went with our motorhome and had a peaceful couple of days overlooking the river Lyn. Lovely walks through a national trust estate and into the town of Lyndon and Lynmouth, great facilities all clean and doing as the should
