Welcome to St. Vincent Guest House in beautiful Lynton, North Devon, where Clive and Maria invite you to enjoy a stay in the comfort of their elegant Georgian grade II listed home. The bed and breakfast has comfortable and atmospheric bedrooms, six ensuite and one with a private shower room ranging from 1 single bedroom, 2 double bedrooms, 2 kingsize bedrooms & 2 rooms that can be set as either twin or superking beds (these latter 2 rooms have baths rather than showers). All rooms are individually styled. There is a Log burner/fire in main Guest Lounge (which unfortunately is not available at the moment during the covid pandemic). There is a Cottage garden to relax in and have an al fresco breakfast (weather permitting) which has also been opened as a Tea Garden to guests, locals & visitors to Lynton (again weather permitting). Close to coastal path. All breakfasts catered for including Vegan/Veg & Gluten Free (ideally with some notice!). Non smoking. Dog's welcome as we have pets of our own. Unfortunately we are not able to cater for children.

We’ve just enjoyed a really lovely 3 night break here, using it as a base whilst we walked some sections of the south west coast path. The property is in the safe hands of Maria and Clive who went out of their way to help and support us - breakfast was delicious, the range and quality was superb and definitely a close contender for our top spot! fresh milk and extra supplies of tea bags were no problem. Our dog loved his sausage for breakfast - particularly being hand fed by the owner! There was a really helpful boot store downstairs which enabled our kit to dry off before the following day. Toiletries were plentiful and wonderful, there was a hairdryer and plentiful blankets and pillows available if needed. Less than two minutes away is a variety of eateries but make sure you book. Shout out to Riverside Taxis who were also very helpful and dog friendly. Thank you both, we’ve stayed at many properties on our walking journey and you are one of the best for the price and certainly one of the most helpful and dog friendly. We would revisit just to spend a relaxing weekend here.

This was the best B&B I stayed in over fifty days walking the South West Coastal Path!

The breakfast beat all others with wonderful locally sourced ingredients and lovely yogurt to accompany my granola. There was even a complimentary Easter Egg to mark Good Friday!

The owners were wonderfully welcoming and helpful, supported by their friendly dog and an affectionate cat who loves to cuddle new friends - although they kept a respectful distance from guests who did not like pets.

Room on ground floor well decorated with comfortable, high quality bedding. Set in historic town house with period features - the rooms are named after warships that fought at the Battle of St Vincent.

Location was perfect for accessing South West Coastal Path, as well as the Coleridge Way and Two Moors Way that pass Lynton too.

We were a family group who stayed in 4 rooms for a week in July. We were warmly welcomed along with our 2 dogs.
Maria and Clive made this place different, whether it be helping you book a meal at busy times or preparing a packed lunch or providing our cocker spaniel with a daily sausage for breakfast whilst we ate our lovely breakfast cooked to order.
They also do cream teas from the garden so that’s a treat.
As it was so warm it was lovely to have the garden to sit together in the evening, they also have a guest lounge which they will be opening soon.
Rooms lovely, bright and airy and a good size, everything you would need is included incl iron/hair dryer/ tea and coffee.
Lastly, perfectly placed in the heart of Lynton but very quiet at night.
If you decide to stay you won’t be disappointed.

Thank you MIchelle for such a very lovely review. We are try our best to make sure that all guests have a great stay in our lovely newish property. We really look forward to welcoming you all back in the near future to see the changes that we are planning over the coming months. We are planning on letting out our Tea Garden next season as just a little too much work for us but will still offer our guest's the option to sit in our garden. Kind regards Maria & Clive.

It's clean, cosy and they do a good breakfast. Not sure what else you could want from a village b and b for such good prices. Owners really nice people, even offered us a lift when our taxi was late. They do have a beautiful cat and a gorgeous old dog, but they are in the front room with the owners and are both very friendly pets - (I'm allergic to cats and had no problems at all with my allergies, so obviously the owners are mindful of this and of course animals are nowhere near bedrooms.). Location is fantastic and there's some street parking out the front, or a pay and display is opposite which is just 5 pounds for 24 hours. Breakfast has meat, veggie or vegan options. Biccies and coffee etc in the room. Tvs in the room. En suites in rooms have toiletries and the shower is fab. Honestly could not expect anything more from a family run b and b at such good prices, I will definitely book again.

We've just finished a lovely 6 night stay at St Vincent's, in the lovely Colossus room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was airy, spacious and quiet. Maria and Clive were excellent hosts, anticipating our every need. My wife is dairy intolerant but there was a large choice of non-dairy alternatives as standard, not even needing a special request. We appreciated this as it often feels like an imposition, even in 5 star hotels. The cooked breakfast was excellent. The location was also excellent, being close to the walks, funicular railway and local pubs and restaurants, but also very quiet. We look forward to returning in the future.

Lovely little place in the centre of Lynton. Parking outside not guaranteed but there’s a pay and display literally 2 mins away which is free between 6pm and 10am (and a few quid before or after). Clive and Maria are lovely hosts and the resident cat and dog (who have their own tales to tell) are lovely too. Bedrooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable (the bed in the Prince George room was perfection). Breakfast cooked to order and delicious. Nothing seemed like too much trouble here and we felt at home. Would highly recommend and please do support the local economy by staying here, you won’t be disappointed

Stopped here for one night and wish we had booked for two nights.
Maria was the best host ever, went out of her way to make sure everything was in order from the moment you stepped in the door. Couldn’t of been any more helpful.. Breakfast was out of this world and Maria worked so hard to make sure all her guests had everything they needed, so attentive..Bedroom was very nice with a comfortable bed and lovely complimentary coffee and biscuits..
Great location for exploring Lynton & Lynmouth and surround areas.. Would highly recommend.

The St Vincent Guest House is a definite recommendation for a stay in Lynton or a stopover on the South West Coast Path. You`re faced with quite a challenging ascent if you`re arriving on foot but the cozy rooms, super-friendly, charming and thoughtful hosts as well as the very good breakfast are more than worth it. Would absolutely come again.

We had an overnight stay to break up a South West Coast Path walk. Maria was a perfect host, the room was well equipped and comfortable and we were provided with a scrumptious packed lunch for the next day as we needed to set off before breakfast service. There is a great choice of restaurants nearby and we would definitely be glad to stay there again.

The beutiful St Vincent guest house located in the heart of Lynton was a truly rare rose covered find! Our lovely host Emma, made us feel very welcome. Precautions had been taken to make the accommodation safe but friendly. I was able to take some stunning walks each morning just a stones throw from the guest house, greeted by a superb breakfast on the lawn when I returned. The goats on the coast path to the valley of the rocks are a must see! Lynton also has some great places to eat, one in particular recommended to us by Emma, the ‘Thai Cottage’. If you are looking to escape and relax I’d highly recommend!
