Kev and Jan provide a warm welcome to the house that they have worked hard to renovate these last five years, The rooms are bright, spacious and have high ceilings. Breakfast is substantial and good. The Beggars' Roost Inn next door is part of the property and provides an excellent dog friendly place for lunch or dinner.

Thanks very much for another very relaxing stay. As always, Jan & Kevin made us feel very welcome and the room was up to its usual high standard. Despite still being in the grip of the Coronavirus pandemic, the precautions taken struck the right balance between safety & common sense while not being not over the top. The breakfast menu was restricted as the breakfast room could not be used (social distancing), but still offered plenty of choice.

A very enjoyable stay in a lovely hotel. Kevin and Jan are really great hosts and this includes other staff they employ, a very friendly but professional bunch, who had to deal with a few very rude customers on our first night staying there, but managed the situation perfectly. Even though the two couples continued to loudly moan throughout the evening about not being seen to within 5 minutes of arriving.
We arrived just after the check-in time and were shown to our lovely spacious room. The bathroom was bigger than some other hotel rooms we’ve stopped in with a lovely roll top bath and double shower. We also had two furry friends in toe, who were treated like royalty throughout our stay! 🐶🐶
Although the Covid pandemic has enforced some restrictions, we still had a great time, the food at the Beggars Roost pub which is part of the establishment was absolutely fantastic, can definitely recommend the beggars burger & Sri Lankan curry. Our only slight disappointment was that we couldn’t sample the much talked about breakfast, maybe next time!! But Jan delivered our continental breakfast each morning to our room.
We would like to extend our thanks to everyone at the Exmoor Manor Hotel & Beggars Roost for a wonderful stay.

We enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The room was fair sized and had everything that you would need for a comfortable stay. All precautions were being taken and hotel was clean. The alternative breakfasts were delivered to the room and were a very good substitute for their normal fayre.

We travelled down with a couple of friends for a long weekend. Arrived after lunch on friday too early too check in but Kevin greeted us warmly , invited us into the Inn and our weekend begann ! After investigating Lynmouth we checked into lovely spacious rooms , we were allocated room 2 which has french doors onto a gravel terrace. Normally we avoid groundfloor hotel rooms for security reasons .... our first night the doors remained closed whilst we slept, 2nd and 3rd we left then slightly open as they are the only windows that opened - but also showed that we felt secure.Breakfast between 8.30 and 9.30 is overseen by the lovely Jan, kevins over half. Plenty of choice freshly cooked. Thankyou Kevin and Jan for a lovely stay

Booked a two night stay last minute, after finding our original Air BnB place unsuitable. Stayed Sunday and Monday, with our 6 month old very nervous pup.
The hotel and linked restaurant next door are extremely pub friendly, the owners Keith & Jan, are excellent hosts, going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, Keith was very kind and helped calm our pup when we first arrived, all the staff were excellent, all professional and helpful.
Our room (room 1) was spotles clean, a lovely large bathroom with double shower and rolltop bath.
Lots of nice extra touches in the room, that just made us feel relaxed and welcome.
The food in the pub was spot on, really tasty and very reasonably priced.
A good selection of well kept real ales on offer, with good drinks prices as well!
The breakfast on both mornings was absoluteley lovely, good produce and well cooked. Keep an eye out for some of Jan's artwork, she is exceptionally talented indeed.
All in all, a fantastic place to stay, we will be returning to stay again when we are next in the area, thanks for a great stay, Nick, Laura and Bodie the barky pup!
All the best Keith & Jan.

Lovely rooms in hotel adjacent to pub The Beggars Roost, both run by Kevin & Jan. Rooms are very clean & spacious, breakfast lovely quality & plentiful. Food in pub was fantastic and the owners could not be more friendly or helpful. Beautiful although steep walks into Lynmouth & Lynton.
Highly recommended .

We had a great time at Exmoor Manor Hotel, a beautiful historic building with great rooms, it’s nice to have thermostatic valves on the radiators so you can set the room to your own temperature. The owners Kevin & Jan are at the top of their trade, friendly, knowledgeable, very nice people, even got Easter eggs for our grandchildren with clues for them to follow. Great location for all that’s on offer in the area.
Big showers and lots of warm towels, coffee, tea and a fridge in the room.
Great breakfast with lots of choice

Checked in for a two night stay. Was greeted by Jan who made us feel very welcome.
We had room 4, a dual aspect room which was excellent. Bright, spotlessly clean and very well appointed.
We ate in the attached pub/restaurant - the Beggars Roost. Kev looked after our needs at the bar and we browsed the menu.
The food we chose on both nights was very good both in quality and quantity.
The breakfast was similar. Lots of choice and great quality.
My partners dietary needs were catered for too - gluten free.
A perfect place to stay. We both would highly recommend

We drove out into the sunshine hoping to find somewhere to stay on the North Devon coast and did! We stopped at the Exmoor Manor and where lucky to find they had a room unexpectedly free.
Can thoroughly recommend this hotel and The Beggars Roost pub. The hotel room was spacious, comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We also had a great pub supper and were impressed by the warm welcome from the owners and all the staff. It’s in a peaceful location and we hope to return for a longer stay - thank you to all at the Exmoor Manor.
