We had a lovely 2 night stay in this exceptional B&B. Our room and en suite were large and very well furnished, the bed was so comfortable and the sea views magnificent. The breakfast was lovely with a great choice. We will definitely be back, couldn't fault any aspect of our stay in any way.

We love Devon but usually go self catering. This time we booked a romantic B & B short break away. We chose the Choughs Nest Hotel out of curiousity, having walked past it so many times en route from Lynton to the Valley of the Rocks and we weren’t disappointed. We had a fabulous room with a large en-suite - the bed was so comfy and the views were spectacular. The family running the hotel were lovely, really pleasant and friendly. We will recommend and return next year. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so special 🥰

Each room has a sea view, mine and my partners room was room 9, on the side but it was such a beautiful room! It’s family run & they are so friendly & welcoming! Breakfast was beautiful! Would highly reccomend this hotel so much, couldn’t believe how new & clean the rooms are! Thank you x

We stayed at Chough's Nest for four nights in August. This really is a lovely family run hotel, we received a warm welcome on arrival and the owners are very pleasant and helpful with good knowledge of the local area. Our room was on the first floor, room 3, a large room equipped with everything we needed including a small fridge which was very useful for chilling bottles of water and wine. The biggest plus point has to be the stunning coast and sea views from the rooms. At night you can see the twinkling lights on the Welsh coast in the distance. Breakfasts were well organised with a good choice of options, portion sizes were generous! A pleasant distraction at breakfast was observing the varied species of birds on the feeders outside. The weather wasn't great during our stay but we still managed to do a lot of walking and enjoyed our break, Lynton really is a lovely place.…

I have just come back from a most enjoyable stay at the Choughs Nest Hotel. The room was clean and you had everything you want. We even had a fridge, but not all rooms have one. The views from the rooms are amazing. The breakfast are just right with a choice of items. John and Rosemary are perfect hosts. The position of the hotel is extremely quiet and you only get the sound of the sea or birds and owls at night. Not the running streams of water!!! I will go back like a shot. It’s a lovely place to stay.

From the open fire in the lounge to the huge, comfortable room with its outstanding coastal views, to the perfectly cooked breakfast, not to mention John and Rose's warm welcome and lovely company, I cannot recommend the Chough's Nest highly enough. The location is perfect whether you're in the mood to sit in comfort and look out at the sea or wander the coast path, and its a short stroll to Lynton's shops and restaurants.

We stayed for 2 nights at the end of January. The hotel is great value for money and we would highly recommend. The hotel was very clean especially our bedroom and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and had a great nights sleep. The breakfast was lovely and a great size setting us up for a full days walking without the need for lunch. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. A great stay thank you.
