We booked up at short notice & couldn't have been made more welcome when we arrived & during our stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was faultless & the tariff was more than acceptable! A short walk away to Lyton, and a steep, but vigorously pleasurable walk to Lynmouth! Highly recommended to all!

We visited about a month ago and had a great time. The hotel is in a beautiful location with spectacular views and sits next to the Funicular railway (which our kids loved!)The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was very clean, with excellent breakfast service and accommodated even the smallest requests. A dog welcoming hotel and we will...

Returned to this lovely hotel after 14 years! Still as beautiful with gorgeous views. The hotel is quiet and relaxed and serve a great breakfast. Our room was large and clean with a good standard of decor. Only improvement would be for the bathroom to be updated...burnt my hand on the taps (lol). Will be returning again...with not so many...

Booked this hotel to stay for 5 nights. It's a nightmare to get to the hotel. When arrived and walked into reception, strong animal smells hit you! The proprietor handed us the keys but did not show us to the room. The room and the whole hotel was extreamly dated and very 1970's, considering it was a 3 star hotel!!...

The views from this hotel are absolutely stunning, every room has a sea view and ours had a view of the north cliff railway which takes you from Lynton to Lynmouth and stops right outside the hotel. Great marvel of victorian engineering. The hotel is dog friendly so it isn't 5 star however the hospitality definately is! There's a doggy...

Stayed here dor a week. Nice clean hotel, slightly basic but breakfasts were good and the hospitality of the owners was excellent. Hotel is a great location a minutes walk in to linton and ten minutes down the hill into lynmouth. The railway in next door which if you are feeling less energetic is great.
