Had wonderful 2 night stay in lovely farmhouse room with own shower and WC. TV in room. Great facilities with very reasonable farm shop and cafe for meals in morning and evening. Friendly and helpful owners made us really welcome. Beautiful location and views. Parking right next to room. Goats, horses, and chickens to see plus a whole lot more. Pam&Robin
Called in here primarily fir a bite to eat. What a find. Good cafe and shop, really nice cider. The views from the road leading to the farm, and apple orchard are spectacular. There is a lovely wooded footpath and coastal views if you go further towards the coast , and the SWCP will take you to The Valley iof Ricks. Campsite looks good with very clean facilities. Food made fresh in this family run friendly farm.
We arrived on the Thursday and was instantly welcomed by friendly members of staff! We were then shown to our room (B&B), which was absolutely beautiful with its ceiling wooden beams and was extremely clean- we found no issues at all with the room! We had food on site for our first night and it was absolutely beautiful! It arrived super quick and was piping hot! It was really good value for money! The view from the accommodation is out of this world! There is everything you need on site, including a shop which was extremely helpful, a gift shop with beautiful things in and a restaurant/ bar, which was a lovely way to end a day! The staff were so welcoming and kind, they would always stop to have a chat and give us some suggestions on where to visit, on our day trips. Overall, this break was absolutely wonderful and Caffyn Farm is just perfect! We will definitely be coming again!…
Beautiful spot. Friendly staff. Spent 2 nights here during some terrible weather and the owners could not have been more helpful. Great food in the on site cafe. Cider delicious. Some proper hospitality in a unique setting.
We live in Lynton and have not yet used the camp site. We can positively recommend the Barn Restaurant on site as we have visited several times this year between lockdowns. Our most recent visit was on Christmas Eve for a super lunch. Our party of 7 included mainly vegetarians who were impressed both by the wide choice and the quality of their meals. I enjoyed a massive Moules Marinieres presented in the traditional way. We have always been warmly welcomed by the owners and staff and highly recommend that campers should enjoy this wonderful facility on site. We look forward to the Spring when we can eat with the goats in the garden!
Really lovely campsite in a great location. Well stocked shop and cafe area - nice vibe and within easy reach of the rest of Exmoor National Park to explore. Only downside is the facilities could be cleaned a little more regularly/throughly but appreciate it’s a busy campsite with lots of kids etc. Perhaps a communal mop or something near the showers would be good for people to clean out before and after going in the showers just as a short term measure until they are properly cleaned by the team! All in all a good site and we would be sure to return!
Just recently returned from this fantastic campsite. Colin and Jill are amazing and very , very friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay fantastic. Jackie at the stables was also extremely happy and a great riding instructor. They have many goats which are a dream for all ages aswell as turkey’s and chickens. The campsite is huge and very well maintained. In the cafe the food was amazing with a good selection of great home cooked food and my grandson stated that their rainbow cake was the best he had ever had !!!!!!! The shower block was amazing and very, very clean. Their small shop had everything you could ever imagine . WOW Will be back again soon and thankyou again to Colin,Jill ,Jackie and all your amazing staff.
We cycled here for breakfast. It was freshly cooked, nicely presented, cheerfully served and delicious. We sat outside with a beautiful view of the coast. The cakes looked worth making another visit for... There's also a well stocked small shop for essentials.
Well where to begin... hard to find all the words for all the nice things this place provides. This is pretty much my new favourite place to go camping in the south west - perfect when you need to escape daily routines and work. We came here twice to stay and it was awesome. So straight up you got a decent price per night, that includes access to an amazing hot water shower, laundry area, sinks, fridges, all greatly looked after and everything immaculate when it comes to how clean it is at all times. The fields are huge, no booking needed, no fuss and you pitch where you like. The staff are all legends! at least all the ones i spoke too. They sell their own local eggs, theres a supermarket with camping equipment in case you forgot something and theres also plenty of foods there. Cafe with breakfast, fresh bread, cakes and vino available everyday and you have a walk connecting you to many coastline walks. We also loved the friendly farm dog called Harmen which came to our campsite to say hi every morning never pushing it with us and very respectful in general. Caffyns farm a very special place that im glad its open and running, we will be back!!! …
