On ringing to check on availability the owner, Tom could fit us in a twin bed room on the first floor. The room was spotless. We had two good night's sleep - lovely firm matresses and there were double duvets on single beds, meaning we weren't fighting to keep covered up all night! Although we were only there for two...

This hotel was very pleasant and clean. The owner, Tom Roberts, was friendly and very helpful during the booking process, with follow up queries and during our stay. Although the hotel does not offer breakfast any more the hotel next door (where others of our family party were staying) were happy to oblige. It was quiet, clean and reasonably priced.

We wanted somewhere central in Plymouth as we were visiting relatives nearby, and we wanted to be able access the town on foot. When I first looked at The Bowling Green, I could see that the last reviews were posted about 2 years ago. This seemed a little strange but I phoned them anyway and spoke to Tom, who took...

An excellent B&B - better than many hotels I have stayed in. Could not fault the cleanliness throughout and the high quality of the equipment in the rooms. The food was excellent and served in generous portions. The location is superb for the University graduation ceremonies which take place on the Hoe, a mere 100 metres away. The only reservation...

The position is excellent, overlooking the Bowling Green where Francis Drake played Bowls whilst awaiting the Spanish Armada. It is also ideal for the University Graduation ceremonies which take place less than 100yards away on the Ho! The rooms are all spotless and cleaned daily. The Breakfast's offered would cater for any taste ranging from Full English to simple fruit...

This may only be a guesthouse but it is much better than many hotels I have stayed in. Personal service at breakfast, food excellent and healthy. Spotlessly clean and well equipped rooms. Could not fault our stay, great position in Plymouth and would certainly return in the future.

I have stayed here every year that I have been to Plymouth for the British Fireworks Championships, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else! The location is perfect, right on the Hoe, only a short walk from the shops in the town centre, and also a short walk to great vantage points for the fireworks/seafront! It has everything you need, friendly...

A very warm welcome. Very friendly hosts. Fantastic breakfasts and immaculately clean accommodation. Pristine bed Linen of the best quality and a perfect location. We have loved every minute of our stay and would not hesitate in making this our first choice in Plymouth in the future. Thank you Jean and Tom for looking after us so well!

Just enjoyed a fantastic couple of nights at this great little Hotel in prime position on Plymouth Hoe. We visited with friends to enjoy the National Fireworks Competition which was held over the two nights and we had a great stay.
