Very comfortable stay at this ideally located B&B in Plymouth, just steps away from Plymouth Hoe, 5-10 minute walk to the city centre & Barbican and ~20 minute walk from Royal William Yard. We booked this B&B last minute but were pleased we chose to stay here and not spend an additional £100-150 to stay in a chain hotel for 1 night.

The room was clean, comfortable and modern with comfy twin beds and useful amenities including tea/coffee tray, large bottle of water, hairdryer, fan etc. It surpassed my expectations, particularly given the price we payed last min. The breakfast smelt delicious, although we decided to go out for breakfast instead, we would’ve enjoyed having breakfast in the little dining room. The owner was very friendly and having a key for the room & building meant we could return later at night.

Would certainly return again for a short stay, knowing it will be a clean, comfortable stay in a welcoming and well located B&B, at a really reasonable price.

Beautifully kept, clean and welcoming.

Nice, clean and well appointed room, very comfortable bed, en-suite was compact but clean and well looked after, we were very pleased with the room we had.
Room facilities include everything you might expect, tea and coffee, TV, hair dryer and an efficient fan heater (it's November).

Breakfast was hot, well cooked and satisfying, with a good choice of cereals, yogurt, toast and cooked breakfast inclusive. Good coffee too.

Parking - Paid parking on Citadel road, we got a spot right outside. The hotel will provide (for £5) an over night parking pass valid till 10 am next morning, so DON'T pay at the roadside meter or on line before check-in, this parking pass saves you money !

Other information you might find useful. Plymouth Hoe is about a five minute walk away, leading down to the Barbican for shopping, food and pubs (15 minute walk with steps and some steep roads). The Plymouth Pavilions Venue is also around 5 mins away on foot, so the hotel is really ideally situated for visits to both.

Lovely big clean rooms 5 minutes from the sea. Warm owner cooked us a great breakfast every morning, remembering our orders was a nice touch that made it easy and comfortable. Rooms where cleaned every day which was great to come back to, plenty of space and really everything you need for a nice little mini break

This is a great guest house if you are attending a Plymouth Uni Graduation or visiting Plymouth Hoe. It was just round the corner, a short walk away. Staff were really welcoming, breakfast was great and bedroom was large with a lovely, comfy bed. We will definitely be back.

Such lovely place with plenty of character. Very clean and homely. The people who run it is so friendly and help in any way possible. The breakfast is totally delicious, nothing is too much trouble for them from a full English to cereal. Love this place and would definately go back.

Stayed here for one night while visiting our son. Lovely family room with one double bed and one single. Spotlessly clean and super comfy bed. Shower facilities were excellent too.
Close to Plymouth centre and the hoe, so perfectly located, and we purchased a parking permit for £5 which was excellent value.
Fantastic freshly cooked breakfast this morning, and good supply of cereal and fruit.
Would definitely recommend and will definitely book again!

Independent hotel in Plymouth, reasonably close to Guild Hall. We booked 2 rooms. One was fine, the other a bit cramped and at the top of lots of stairs. Easy location. On road parking which you pay for but be VERY careful how you fill in the car window display card as 1 tiny mistake resulted in a parking ticket! Breakfast absolutely fine. Reasonable price too.

I'll start with the fact it's a great little guest house. The rooms were very clean and felt modern but not without personality. The hosts were both very friendly and informative and you can tell that for then ensuring guest satisfaction is key. Ample tea and coffee in rooms. Would of been nice to have a decaff. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again. For the price we paid very satisfied!

In terms of on the flip side then main stairway has a stale cigarette smell to it. It doesn't seep into rooms so no big problem. There isn't free parking but can't fault it as it doesn't claim to have any.

My daughter, grandson and I have just returned from a 4 day trip down to Plymouth. As soon as we arrived at Jewells Guest House we were greeted by Keith the owner who is kind, helpful and can’t do enough to ensure his guests are well cared for. The entrance hall is very grand, inviting and absolutely spotless. We were given room No. 3 where the high standard of cleanliness continued. The room was perfect for our needs as we were out all day. The beds were extremely comfortable with good quality bedding. Everything we could possibly want was provided. Each morning we had a lovely cooked breakfast.
I would highly recommend this beautiful property. Thank you so much Keith and Sally

Booked this as a 4 day break while we couldn’t get away in the sun abroad ...

The lady who greeted us touch our temperature and we had to sign in NHS track and trace but this shows they are trying their best and credit to them ...
