I have just spent 3 nights at The Babbacoome Hotel it was wonderful I had a single newly refurbed room food was great and the staff very welcoming entertainment good too beautiful views over the downs and bay in front of the hotel
Room was OK but shocked that a single room cost the same as a double.
Obviously very popular with coach parties who seemed happy enough.
Photo misleading the grass is not part of the hotel’s garden.
Breakfast was awful. Drinks over priced.More

Thank you for taking the time to review The Babbacombe Hotel. Not sure why you think a Single room costs the same as a double, it doesn’t but it does cost more than half a double as there is still a room to be cleaned,...More
Travelled to the Hotel for a long weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the Hotel, it’s excellent position overlooking Babbacombe, it’s decor, staff and food quality. Breakfasts were especially good and evening meals a delight. A very good Hotel for the price...More

I am sorry that you were not satisfied with the buffet for your recent christening at the hotel as it is always disappointing if we do not meet guest expectations. Our buffets start at £5.50 per person and go up to £8.50 a head as...More

Unfortunately we can't guarantee there won't be any refurbishment in March as this is the quieter time of the year and when we tend to be refurbing/painting. All work Is carried out between 8am and 4.30pm and any noisy work is always after 9.30am. We have got a refurbishment plan in place to complete the last 10 bathrooms that starts in January and will be complete by early April, so this may result the in some noise and slight disturbance for all our guests over that period.
We like to think the rooms are all of a good standard, however as per many hotels, they do vary in size and outlook and there are additional charges for seaview or seaview balcony rooms. I hope this assists with your decision as to whether to book with us.

The menu changes daily over a 7 day period, with 3 different starters, 4 different main courses including two meat, one fish and one vegetarian option and 4 different desert options each day, if you would like further information, please call the hotel on 01803 216591, as one of our team would be more than happy to assist and can email you out an example. Our food is all freshly prepared and would probably be referred to as typically British fare.
