On 13th February we went with Robinsons coach holidays to Torquay, Abbey Lawn Hotel. This hotel was very clean, comfy, food was acceptable but could be better. Entertainment each evening was good, staff all very friendly. Considering the time of the year, most places of interest were open.

My wife and I have been on many coach holidays to the beautiful West Country, 18 plus from memory, consequently think we have enough experience to comment on this hotel. Firstly you have to accept that it will probably double your costs if you choose to go away at Christmas. After all, the staff are giving up their Christmas to...

The food at this hotel is really good. Plenty of choice, well cooked with lovely presentation. Menu selection is wide, with something to please everyone. Hotel did not quite meet what we expected, the brochure said it was in the grounds of Torre Abby and implied space and also giving the impression that it was on cliff top where you...

We stayed for 15 nights and could not have been made more welcome. The management, dining room staff and housekeepers were very efficient but always had a smile on their faces and nothing was to much trouble. The room was a good size, the food was very good and seconds were on offer if requested yum yum. Swimming pool was...

Went to this hotel on a coach trip. It did not live up to the brochure promise. The hotel was in need of updating. Our room; for which we paid extra for the view; was in need of some TLC. The decor was dated, the bed was provided with sheet and blanket with a bedspread that had seen better days....
