On a solo trip to Torquay for a couple of nights, stayed at Sandway, easy to find, greeted by Sharon who is great, very helpful Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, all covid rules are followed but B&B still felt homely. Breakfast was excellent, you can choose what to have from the cooked menu, also homemade jams and toast was a bonus. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Torquay.
We stayed here from 13th ~ 20th September and couldn't have wished for anything better.I cannot fault this accommodation at all.The welcome was warming and everything was explained regarding breakfast, house keys, parking etc.The room although a little small was extremely comfortable.Everything was available from toiletaries, box of tissues, hair dryer,kettle,tea/coffee facilities and two bottles of drinking water and of course the inevitable T.V. The breakfasts were superb all down to Edds cooking.Try their home made jams and I bet like us you take at least four jars home with you. The whole place was spotlessly clean with hand sanitisers in the hallway and on the landings . We wish Sharon and Edd all the very best and hope covid doesn't ruin their ambitions.
Just left Sandway today 15th August after a lovely stay with Sharon and Ed,perfect hosts felt like id known them forever made us feel at home. Guest house very clean and breakfast superb. Convenient for the sea front, bars and restaurants.
We had a wonderful time at the Sandway House. We had a charming little room, with the most comfortable bed. The whole place was spotless and the location was amazing, only 10 minutes away from the sea. I would strongly recommend booking with breakfast included. The food was delicious and the hosts remembered what we liked and had it ready for us every morning. The hosts deserve a mention of their own as they were super sweet and helpful. They even moved our car for us while we were out. There was plenty of hand sanitiser around, the breakfast tables were very well spaced out so we felt very safe, feeling like all COVID regulations were met. The only slight negative was that the parking was limited, but we made it work, it just involved moving the car is we blocked someone in. Overall we had an excellent stay and would love to be back if we ever find ourselves in Torquay again.…
My partner and myself have just returned back from a long weekend staying at the Sandway. Sharon is amazing, so friendly and welcoming. We were gutted to have to come home. We will definitely be back next year. Our Room was number 1, spotless and very comfortable, the face cloth for make up was amazing! Going to go and buy one for home. My partner had a cooked breakfast everyday and he said it was the best! I had toast with the homemade jams which I did purchase a couple to bring home. I also had the croissants and Pain au chocolat which are now my new favourite breakfast. Sharon couldn’t do enough for us during our stay and it was lovely that she remembered our names so we were on first name terms which made us feel even more welcome. We will defiantly be back next year and I would certainly recommend this Bed and Breakfast to everyone. Love Nic and Blake xx…
