Chic, boutique 5 star inn privately owned and managed by the de Savary family in the unrivalled location of Babbacombe Bay. There are 10 contemporary, New-England style bedrooms and suites with outstanding sea-view, 6 newly launched Beach Huts and 2 Beach Suites plus 3 restored fisherman's cottages for rental. All have excellent sea views with outdoor decks, balconies or gardens. The atmosphere is luxuriously relaxing and friendly. Head Chef, Ben Kingdon and his team serve the very best of creative, English heritage dishes focusing on local, seasonal ingredients in an informal and relaxed setting. Hearty breakfasts, long lunches and lazy suppers indoors or out on the sun-terraces. Sheltering in its own unsung part of the South Devon Coast, the English Riviera, the inn is accessible by water and has its own moorings. A new Spa with indoor pool and hydrotherapy, experience showers, sauna and treatment rooms will supplement the existing treatment room from October 2016. (check for opening dates). Dog and family friendly. The inn is perfect for those looking for a luxurious and private getaway. It will blow the cobwebs away!

We had a great weekend staying in one of the beautiful beach huts with our two dogs. Dog beds, bowls and biscuits thoughtfully provided for them. The complimentary Sloe Gin was a lovely touch and we sat sipping it whilst gazing at the amazing sea view. Complimentary wine and

The Cary Arms has it so, so right! The best to 2019! This undoubtedly has to be one of the best places to stay in Devon, or indeed the UK actually! Ok, so the steep hill down to the inn is a bit scary, but the warm welcome (and the valet service to the car park) makes you

My husband and I stayed here Fri-Sunday for our wedding anniversary. We mentioned this was the purpose of our stay and asked for a room with a great view. Sadly we were popped into the smallest "luxury" room upstairs in the main house, which was under the hotel boiler and

A great dog friendly hotel. We stayed in suit 8 with our dog, bed and biscuits provided for him! The mini bar was filled with complimentary drinks for us. Had a treatment in the spa with a deep massage and a lovely facial by Jo the Spa manager. Meals are served in the bar, and

This hotel together with great staff deserves all the praise and glory that others have said in their reviews. This was our first visit and we booked a deluxe room for a three night birthday break. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cary Arms and would like to return. As well as

Our Beach hut had a small decking area in front of it which would suffice for a breath of fresh air for a very small dog like our visually impaired one-however you can walk dogs through grounds and get to the roads for toilet business but definitely nowhere with a large enclosed garden area except maybe the cottages within the grounds of hotel. Many people used to pass our beach hut with bigger dogs that they had taken down along the jetty area near beach for a longer walk. Some of the dog friendly rooms may be in the main hotel building which only have windows, so it may be worth telephoning and having a chat to the lovely staff.

Does the hotel allow small dogs please?
The hotel is a proper dog friendly hotel! Nothing is too much trouble- our dog was treated like a celebrity hee hee!! They put a bed and abowl with treats in your room - plus they have their own menu in the restaurant. They can eat in the bar with you. The only place they aren't allowed is the conservatory restaurant. We took his blanket and a chee and he sat on the floor beside us. Would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

is there any car park
Hi John Yes. When you arrive park your car immediately in front of the hotel door and unload any luggage. The receptionist will give you a card for the car which you display in your windscreen. The car park is down a steep ramp its only a couple of hundred yards but you don't want to lug anything up the hill back to the hotel.
