We visited this hotel Friday to Sunday and enjoyed every minute of it. We went with friends and arrived at around 6.30 pm, we dropped the bags in the room and met for a pre dinner drink. After drinks we went for dinner which was nice and relaxed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. After dinner we headed back...

Wonderful location, all deluxe rooms have balcony and sea view. Wonderful views from dinning room , spacious lounges and bar. Well trained, polite, friendly staff. We found the whole experience extremely relaxing. Will definitely return.

It is sad to see that a once very grand hotel has lost one of its stars and is beginning to look in need of a good look at the finer details. The staff were, overall, very good and attentive. Wonderful view over the bay if you are in a deluxe room and that makes up for some of the...

My husband booked us an overnight stay here for my birthday. We were very pleased to be told at check in that we had received a complimentary room upgrade to the deluxe suite which was like a small apartment, with lovely sea views! We took advantage of the Spa facilities, sadly the jacuzzi wasn't working which was a disappointment. It...

Stayed here for one night as a late valentines trip. The outside of the building needs some tlc but don't be put off by that as it is nice inside. Reception staff are friendly and efficient. We had a standard sea view room and it's worth the extra to have that view, beautiful. Room also had a balcony but the...

Had our wedding reception at the Imperial. It was day and evening. Everything was faultless. Steph was fantastic!!! We had a gorgeous suite too. Fabulous wedding day, all our friends and family were really impressed too. Food, organisation, dressing of the room. Wish we could do it every year. The weather was also perfect. Shining sun all day, nothing was...

I know the Imperial Hotel from its glory 5 star days back in the 60s & 70s and it has been sad to see its decline in more recent years. However we have now returned 3 times for brief stays in the last 12 months and each time have very much enjoyed our visit. Our last 2 stays have been...

Dear Cinders1950 Thank you for choosing the Imperial Torquay for your short valentines break, which we were delighted to be your host for. Hopefully the weather will get itself sorted very soon and we will have English Riviera weather here once again!

This hotel offers wonderful views across Torbay and a quiet, restful atmosphere, although the building is showing its age - very creaky floorboards in the upper corridors! Torquay town centre, harbour and theatre are all within 10-15 minutes walking distance. The food in the restaurant is of excellent quality.
