Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were a family of 9 and stayed for a long weekend Friday-Monday in the main house which was over 4 floors and had onsite parking for 2 cars. We arrived before the 4pm check in rang up and spoke to Tony who told us the house was ready so could go in. WOW!! this place was amazing, Large fruit bowl on table and milk in fridge on arrival. The bedrooms all en-suite with their ornate furnishings were superb with tv’s and tea/coffee included in all rooms. Free wi-fi throughout. What can I say about the roof terrace which goes all around the property with spectacular views of the bay & surrounding areas and ample seating and loungers. (We were lucky as we had the glorious weather in October and made use of this) This is the place to stay you have everything you need within walking distance - Cafe, bars, restaurants. Thank you Tony & Jackie we will definitely come again x

Popped in for a late lunch we both had fish and chips which was delicious albeit a little pricey. Service was very good. The staff were warm and friendly, we appreciated how attentive our waitress was. We ate outside to enjoy the sea view. We would visit again.

Booked The Cliff Top and so pleased we did. Amazing views walking into the living room. Fabulous living space, two double bedrooms complete with en suites . Perfect for Mum and I. Good selection of places to eat and drink. Had a lovely walk along to the Model Village which is definitely worth a visit. The one main issue was the parking which I’d seen mentioned on other reviews so was prepared. Reluctant to move the car at times as couldn’t guarantee a space. Wouldn’t put us off though. Also was a struggle trying to unload the car and then go up the 4 flights to our apartment but the view made up for it. And again, will not put us off booking again. Already planning when we can come back. Had a sneaky peak at the other suites when chatting to other guests and all are amazing . All kitted out in lovely decor. Would highly recommend staying here and as mentioned earlier can’t wait to come back .

Absolutely gorgeous stylish and top quality B&B. We had room 4 on the top floor which is a great size room with lovely sea view. Fabulous smart bathroom with walk in double shower. One flight up more to the exceptional roof terrace , which we enjoyed to ourselves! Breakfast in the smart Bay cafe downstairs, lovely breakfast with choice. Tasty and beautifully presented. Totally 100% recommend Babbacombe Bay Hotel Also so many pubs and places to eat right on the doorstep. And with the downs opposite. Thanks.

Walk along the coast path then breakfast :) I had the croissant and granola (picture attached). The croissant was crispy and cooked perfectly and the granola with yogurt and fruit was fresh and tasty. My husband has a sausage bap with a coffee (£4.95 deal- brilliant price!)- he said the sausages tasted great. Coffee was smooth and well made. Service was quick and friendly. Amazing breakfast with some of the best views of the bay!! Would definitely recommend.

So lovely to come to this fab little cafe / brasserie for brunch this morning! Felt super safe re covid and the food (eggs Benedict) was yummy! We also had 3 children with us who were accommodated well despite us having to ask for flakes, wafers, plates and anything else a group of demanding toddlers desired! Highly recommend, beautiful outdoor area as well!

This is our second visit to the Babbacombe Bay Hotel our last one being in 2014 just after it was refurbished. Nothing has changed it still remains perfect!! We are currently staying in a different room from last time (room 4), this is a sea view with super king size bed and double walk in shower. Perfectly clean, wonderfully comfortable bed, and lots of tea and coffee available in our room. Breakfast was superb, plentiful and lots of choices. We’ve just had our complimentary cream tea (an offer on booking) and OMG it was amazing, warmed up fruit scone (there was choices) with plenty of cream and jam it was heaven on a plate! The staff go out of their way to help you whether it is in the hotel or the restaurant and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I don’t understand the bad reviews at all. We can’t wait to revisit - your staff do you proud thank you all for making our stay perfect!!
