My Mum and I stayed in the Ellacombe Room at Seabreeze for 5 nights in July. Helen and Adam have put a lot of work in to make their B&B Covid Safe, they were transparent with the rules/changes and none of it affected the enjoyment of our stay. Our stay was incredible from start to end. Upon arrival we were offered tea/coffee & home made chocolate cake and shown our gorgeous room, it was spacious, very clean and had a sofa, comfy beds, bathroom with big shower & great water pressure, mini fridge and teas/coffees, biscuits - all replenished daily. The breakfast was excellent with plenty on the menu to choose from, our favourite was the Salmon & Scrambled eggs. Helen & Adam were incredible hosts, they gave us a warm welcome & were so helpful throughout our stay with recommendations on where to go explore & eat around the area. We can't wait to come back!

We have been massive fans of staying in B&Bs for around 20 years and can honestly say that this is probably the best B&B we’ve ever stayed in.

We stayed here for three nights on our recent 10 night staycation in Devon and Dorset (across 5 different B&Bs). The pictures of the rooms and in particular the views are what really sold Seabreeze to me, but I can say that the photos really don’t do it justice. We stayed in their second floor “Babbacombe” room which is very spacious, very comfortable, has a huge bathroom and is spotlessly clean. The balcony is sensational and we enjoyed a lot of time out there enjoying the spectacular view with a cup of tea. We were blessed with fabulous weather during our stay and getting up for the sunrise on the first morning is a memory we will truly treasure.

Adam and Helen immediately made us feel at ease and have put many measures in place given the current situation. Breakfast was a real treat with healthy options too, and some of the best sausages we’ve ever tasted. They really have thought of everything and although onsite parking is limited to one space used by the downstairs suite, we were able to park to load/unload and 3 day permits are available for a very reasonable £21 at the very secure car park about 2 minutes walk away.

We were given many tips on things to do and places to eat. There are options literally on the doorstep and Torquay itself is a brisk 30 minute walk away or just £7-£8 in a taxi. Helen and Adam showed genuine interest in what we’d got up to the day before.

I cannot recommendation Seabreeze enough and we will be back at the soonest opportunity.

I had originally booked our holiday for last year 2020. Then Covid-19 arrived and plans went out of the window, however Adam and Helen kindly transferred the booking to 2021.
Despite some restrictions still in place Adam and Helen forwarded some additional information for our benefit and the holiday was able to be taken.
On arrival we were met by Helen who welcomed us to the Seabreeze.
She quickly and efficiently went through the necessary guidelines and explanations over how things worked and breakfast procedure, before providing us with a very welcome cuppa and slice of homemade cake.
Our room the "Riddlescoombe" was at ground level and disabled person friendly, you enter into a lounge area with excellent views across the bay, through double doors into bedroom with twin beds has requested and large wardrobe, drawers etc. Into bathroom which had a wet room shower area disabled toilet with handrails either side and sink.
Ideal for my wife she thought it was terrific.
Breakfast was in two sittings to accommodate social distancing and pre ordered.
Full English beautifully presented each morning, cereals etc had to be served to comply with covid but not a problem.
I even had a candle supplied with my breakfast on my birthday.
The attention to detail by Adam as Helen is obvious throughout your stay, nothing is to much trouble .
A Fantastic holiday with fantastic host.
Many thanks to Adam and Helen.
We will see you next year John & Karen.

We were absolutely thrilled with our two night stay at the Seabreeze. A warm welcome on our arrival with tea and cake brought to the room. The incredible view of Lyme Bay from our balcony with comfortable seating, and our immaculate and stylish room complete with sofa meant we were happy to stay and relax rather than feeling driven out for entertainment. The huge bathroom was also spotless and the towels supplied included flannels, something that most places don't offer. Our silent fridge contained bottled water and real milk, and we enjoyed the big mugs, selection of drinks and biscuits. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, we slept really well. Breakfast was lovely, great bacon, perfect scrambled eggs and porridge, good fresh fruit salad. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Some people might not like having to pay for parking round the corner but this is hardly a major problem, you can pay by the day. And be aware that this is on a busy road overlooking a popular green, with eateries nearby so there will be noise from people and traffic, although not audible once the patio doors are closed at night.

Excellent attention to detail, especially regarding covid 19 rules.
Oddicombe room large, beautifully decorated, with generous shower room. A fridge held fresh milk and water, changed daily. The drinks tray catered for all tastes and include a flagon of water for the kettle.
The long balcony, which caught the early morning sun, had a table, chairs and a swing chair (cushions in the wardrobe). Great for the bay view and watching the world go by.
Breakfast was superb, especially the fresh fruit salad and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, on a muffin. There are plenty of good pubs and restaurants, within a short walking distance, and a nearby bus stop where you can get a bus to Torquay and Paignton.
Thank you Helen and Adam for giving us a welcome respite from the current situation. The tea and chocolate cake on arrival was greatly appreciated.

David and I stayed in the Babbacombe for 3 nights, getting home (sadly!) yesterday. i was sorry not to have said good-bye in person to Helen and Adam but I was feeling emotional about our whole holiday and didn't want to start bawling! In any event, thank you for everything. During these strange times, it was your reaction to the pandemic that made us feel confident of staying with you. The rest was icing on the cake. Your home is beautiful, our room was lovely. The view from our balcony was outstanding, even when it was raining. The extra touches were appreciated - fresh, cold water in the fridge every day, fresh milk, biscuits, a good selection of hot drinks...Oh, and an extremely comortable bed and great shower! And then there's the breakfast...I was afraid if I'd ordered more for breakfast there wouldn't have been room for all the other tasty and delightful foods to try during our Torbay break. But, the breakfast was good, plentiful, tasty, filling, served by two very friendly people...we enjoyed it immensely and look forward to our next trip to Devon!

Just had the most wonderful 3 nights/4 days in beautiful Babbacombe. We have never been and took a chance on Seabreeze based on previous reviews. We were not disappointed, from the moment you arrive Paul and Cheryl couldn’t make you feel any more welcome. We were staying in the Oddicombe room at the front of the house with a balcony, the room was spotless, beautifully decorated in keeping with the style of property with everything you could need for a perfect stay, including home made cake!. Parking was easy in the public car park at the rear as we bought a permit in advance. During the day there is a licensed terrace for light snacks and drinks and even an honesty bar after hours for guests. The breakfast was fab, cooked and served to perfection. Can’t recommend highly enough, thank you for welcoming us to your beautiful property and making us feel so at home, we will definitely be back soon

Perhaps the best way to describe the seabreaze is that if we were staying there as part of the four in a bed contest we would have given up there and then and given them the trophy. Cheryl and Paul are fantastic hosts very friendly and easy to get on with, the place itself was spotless with a coffee machine and silent fridge in the room with bottled water and fresh milk, with a good sized T. V. and very large comfortable bed and a spectacular coastline view from the balcony the en suite featured a double shower and toiletries. Another nice touch was Cheryl's home made cakes and cookies fresh in the room each day not to mention her excellent breakfasts with plenty of choice in both hot and cold food served by the ever smiling Paul... can't praise these people enough....( Cheryl and Paul it's not too late to adopt me ).....

Fantastic place to stay. Cheryl and Paul are fabulous hosts and couldn’t do enough for you. Cheryl’s homemade sponge cake and brownies are gorgeous. We had these left in our room every day along with bottled water and fresh milk for the tea and coffee. The room is lovely and spotlessly clean with everything you could want. The fridge in the room was very welcoming and very quiet and the large bed was so comfortable. The cooked breakfast is amazing. I tried Eggs Royale for the first time and it was delicious.

Thank you so much Cheryl and Paul for a fantastic stay. We will be back soon. Can’t wait to return.

In 30 years of visiting Torquay, Seabreeze is the best accommodation we have stayed in
Paul and Cheryl are excellent hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them
The rooms are very well decorated, comfortable beds, good quality bed linen
Facilities in the room are great, WiFi, Smart TV's, coffee machine, kettle, fridge with water and milk. Good selection of beverages
Good shower complete with toiletries
Cookies on arrival, freshly baked cakes delivered into the room every day
Breakfast was excellent, with a good variety of cereals, fruit and juices, cooked breakfast was full of good fresh ingredients, and can be as big or small as you like
The property benefits from having probably the best location and views in Torquay
There is an honesty bar in the dining room if you fancy a drink, or you could walk the 30 seconds to The Bucaneer, which is a great pub. If you fancy a good meal, the Babbacombe Inn is a further 30 seconds away.
Good car parking facilities are right behind the hotel
Great base for exploring the surrounding area
If you're unsure about where to stay in Torquay, book this place, you will not be disappointed
