We had a very pleasent stay at Tusker Lodge, Carol was the perfect host and even left a card in our room for us as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary during our stay. The "standard breakfast" is not standard at all with just about everything you would want available. The extra "cooked" breakfast is also great and sets you...

The stay was VFM. Carole takes the time to get to know you personally over a welcome drink (free) while you check in. The hotel is well situated for the quay and shopping centre, less than a 10 minute walk. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel with two bus services, the 22 & 32. The hotel is...

This place is ideal, room is really comfortable and clean. Such good value and just 3 minutes from the harbour and town shops. So easy to visit other places within 30 mile radius. Audrey and Carole are so easy to get on with and the welcome drink on arrival is a really nice touch. Breakfast is a good variety of...

Just returned from a long weekend at Tusker Lodge ( soon to be renamed Bay Lodge), and spent a very pleasant time there. The location is superb literally 5 minutes walk from Torquay marina and town. Our room - number 3 though located at the rear overlooking the private car park, was quiet, cozy and tastefully decorated. The owner, Carole...

It was good of the owners to allow me to check in at 8-45pm as I had to travel by coach from Manchester via London. (The expected time is really 6pm). I also had to leave at 6am so just left my keys on the table. I stayed in the top single room which faces the back , it had...

So for my budget (I was there for work) I could only afford the single with shared bathroom- this obviously is annoying but it's cleaned regularly. My room was nice but unfortunately everytime someone used their shower/toilet it would sound like a herd of screaming rhinos were having fits inside my room (not exaggerating) I worked nights and so being...
