I stayed at Delamere Court recently and it was a great experience from start to finish. Adam is top class host. He's really friendly and accommodating, and made me feel very welcome on arrival. As for the place itself, the presentation of the hotel hallways and my room were excellent. Milk was left as a gift in the fridge of the bright, spacious, well decorated and luxurious apartment. I took advantage of the well-kept heated outdoor pool every morning. I was very lucky to have it to myself every morning of my stay. Scenic Meadfoot Beach is round the corner and the marina is a 15 minute walk away. I had the best stay here and I'll definitely return when I'm next in Torquay. Thanks

Delamere court is gorgeous and lovely, especially inside. Our host Adam was extremely nice and welcoming and is in the process of carrying out even more improvements to this fantastic place. Location is perfect, a short walk to Meadfoot beach and a 15 minute stroll to the marina with all its restaurants, bars and amenities. There is a little bit of works going on outside but you would never notice it and the new owner Adam is very mindful of taking care of his guests. Definitely definitely will be returning asap Thanks for a lovely holiday

Enjoyed the stay . The rooms were clean , good facilities and friendly owners. We were offered fresh free cakes for the morning as well. Only disappoint was the weather!, so didn't use the swimming pool or garden area but very happy with the stay.

We booked this hotel as it is in a quiet area we know well from previous trips to Torquay. It is convenient for walking to both town and to Meadfoot beach. This area is always nice, but the hosts at the Delamere Court really make this a 5 star experience for me. They gave us the warmest welcome I've ever had from a Torquay hotel owner. What lovely people. They couldn't do enough to make our stay a great one. As for the hotel itself, both the hallways and our room were well-kept and just as I'd expect from these grand Torquay houses. We were also lucky enough to have the heated outdoor pool to ourselves for most of the time as the other guests went off sight-seeing most of the day, so definitely bring your trunks if you want to indulge in a quiet dip in what might turn out to be almost your own private pool. I'll definitely return to the Delamere Court next time I'm in Torquay. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Hi I'd just like to say to Chris H My mum and dad ran Delamere Court in 1976 to 1981 time I helped my grandma as a child to make the beds!! We lived in the flats and ran a small shop near the conservatory area. It was a scorching summer in 1976 when we arrived I was 6 Lots of happy memories and I'm thrilled to see the property being cared for so well.

A wonderful stay at Delamere Court. The hosts were lovely and provided us with lots of leaflets to get to know the local area. Just 400m walk down the road from Meadfoot beach which is much quieter than by the harbour. Apartment was spacious and clean. The walk to and from the harbour does include a slope but nothing too steep! Would highly recommend!!

We could not have chosen a better week for weather and we could not have chosen a better location, both in Delamere Court and in Torquay. Trudie and Michael were superb hosts and we were welcomed upon our arrival with a Devon cream tea which we enjoyed with some lovely cold Prosecco. Even better when our friend turned up half way through our week, we were able to enjoy Devon cream tea all over again :-) The house is amazing and the owners have made great improvements updating apartments with new kitchens and bathrooms etc. I believe some are still on-going but the work to date is to be admired. There are no cheap flat-picks in place, just great character furniture to compliment the Victorian mansion. It was interesting to hear the furniture they have purchased from France and Prague. Our apartment had anything you may require including dishwasher and washer/dryer, which help with longer stays. The Wi-Fi was freely available anywhere including outside on the Terrace and even by the Pool. Special mention has to be given to the Pool which looks amazing and is heated all through the season. We spend most mornings on one of the beaches and then could chill out by the pool in the afternoon. We really enjoyed Meadfoot beach which is a short walk from Delamere. There is also a nice beach coffee shop which served breakfast until 11am and lunch until 3pm. We enjoyed the surrounding area and as well as Torquay itself visited Paignton, Dartmouth and Brixham. Definitely recommend the quirky car ferry to Dartmouth and the foot ferry to Brixham. All in all a great trip and we will definitely be back

As a regular visitor to Delamere and the writer of an earlier favourable review I feel obliged to counter the somewhat blinkered comments posted by Paul D. Firstly the "glass in rotting woodwork" is not dangerous and is confined to the conservatory not the main building which is immaculate throughout. The owners are desperate to demolish and rebuild the conservatory but have been frustrated by planning permission as they are in a conservation area. If Paul had gone inside he would have discovered that this establishment is indeed worthy of its four star rating, and the beauty and serenity of the location is exquisite. Secondly the "scrap cars in the car park". There is ONE car . It is not scrap it is actively used in some form of racing. My wife and I visited in September this year and found the garden and pool areas to be maintained to their customary impeccable standards. May I add that I have absolutely no connection with this business except an affection nurtured since we first visited in 1976, Long before the present owners came on to the scene

We booked to stay here last night as we had been working since 5 am so had very tired family did not want to drive 5 hours home, (never checked it out) we looked at ratings on booking.com (4 star) OMG so not. Turned up 30 min after booking very poor condition a lot of rotten timber work around glass (dangerous) scrap cars in car park, rubble and soil in places (not fenced off dangerous for my little girl) we cancelled before we got in so cant say what the in side looked like. (we were charged £225.00 by booking.com for cancelling) waiting for a response from them as we were completely fooled by the 4 star rating.booking.com give this accommodation !!!

Stayed here for the weekend with friends, had 2 apartments next to each other... If your looking for self catering apartments and keeping your group together, then I highly recommend this place, had a great first night by hitting up the pool, then out onto the town, etc! Nice apartments, couldn't ask for better, this was perfect and went down a treat for our weekend away :)
