We went last minute for a quick break. The deal was really good value and the food was delicious. We didn’t use the spa. The room was a bit dated but clean and had a sea view. The location is good for walking or visiting Torquay.
Excellent hotel, wonderful location. 3rd stay at this hotel and always a pleasure. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Stunning sea views from our room. Lovely location close to Meadfoot beach & in walking distance to harbour.
Quiet location on clifftop with the coast path passing directly in front of hotel. Great for exploring the bays and coves east with their cafes and a 30 min walk to the excellent Torre Abbey museum south. Very friendly staff and food was of a good standard-lovely cream tea and three course dinner and coffee included in my very reasonable DBB rate. Nice building and gardens, rooms a bit plain and basic but comfortable enough and well worth getting a sea view. The spa pools are great for a power surge swim against the jets.
Fabulous stay, hotel warm and room clean and very comfortable. In a great location, lovely views and very close to Meadfoot beach. Staff really friendly and helpful and food excellent. Highly recommend and will hopefully return.
From the outset we felt very Covid safe in this hotel. The communal areas are well presented and tastefully modernised without spoiling the character of this lovely old regal building. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas throughout, most professionally, making our stay a real pleasure and enjoyment. The dining room was well spaced out and the food of a very high standard and good choice. We paid extra for an upgrade to have a sea view which was lovely. The on-suite was refurbished to a high standard but the bedroom was clean but beginning to look a bit tired and the bed a bit soft for our liking. From our arrival everything was very professional and all staff were very polite and friendly giving a very high standard of service. To our surprise there was entertainment in the lounge bar on the Saturday night, which we enjoyed very much. We can thoroughly recommend this hotel and will certainly consider returning in the future.…
