Adult only B&B offering quiet elevated position on one of Torquay's 7 hills, within a 5 minutes gentle sloped walk of Torquay harbour with its array of bars, restaurants and clubs and buses and ferries across the Bay. All rooms are spacious with en suites and all first floor rooms have sea views. These sea views are as a result of our elevated position, we do not claim to be seafront! There is also free off street parking for all guests. We are motorbike friendly with secure flat parking at the side of the house, and also offer use of our fresh water wash down and drying area for wet diving , sailing or motorbike gear. Due to the elevated position of The Redholme, guests with mobility issues may find the sloped driveway access to the house difficult. It also goes without saying that the return from the harbour to The Redholme is uphill. If you find walking uphill difficult then we suggest you stay elsewhere. Complaining later on a review site is bad form.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you are thinking of visiting Torquay any time look no further than this fantastic B&B. The hosts Mel and Paul were the nicest and most friendly people. The rooms are of an excellent standard both in cleanliness and amenities. The breakfast is probably the best we have had any where we've stayed you also get some gorgeous Muffins to take away. 10/10

Thanks you two....your first time with us, visit again, and book direct with Mel, a bit cheaper for you! As you mentioned, we are the best place to stay, a 2 month shutdown, and no Reviews, due the Tea Boy being at the mercy of the NHS, has left us where we are! Another well known 'Booking' site .com will show the The Redholme' is the no.1 B&B in Torquay. Thanks, see you again. Mel and Paul.

Thanks you two....first time here at The Redholme, but hopefully not the last. Give Mel a ring direct next time, a bit cheaper for you, and negates that other 'Booking' Site! Thanks for a great Review, Mel and Paul.

We have stayed at many very good B&B's throughout the country but the finishing touches provided at the Redholme make it stand out from the rest. Mel and Paul go the extra mile to make your stay memorable.

Great Review....and Ta! We used to be Top Ten, but now relegated. We are 100% and still the Best for Location, Value etc, Only shutting for a few months for the Tea Boy's health issues and many regular Guests who simply don't bother to post a Review have left us here! The Redholme beats, on every level, every B&B in Torquay hand's down. On another 'Booking' site, we have been for 8 years, the No.1. Phone Mel direct, cheaper for you, and better for us. Ta hope you re-visit! X Mel and Paul.

This was our 5th stay at the Redholme. Mel and Paul are the perfect hosts and make you feel very welcome as soon as you arrive. The bedrooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, it was great to have fans provided especially in this hot weather. In the room there is a kettle, coffee machine and very well stocked tea tray with extras! The breakfast is top class, amazing scrambled eggs and all piping hot. Mel makes lovely muffins to take away with you each day. If you are looking for a fantastic stay in a hotel within walking distance to Torquay then look no further, you will NOT be disappointed. We will be booking for next year. Thanks Mel and Paul.

Thank you Mel and Paul for another lovely stay Loved the newly decorated room and great having the use of a fan in this hot weather, it was much needed. Great breakfast as always Mel thank you The location of the Redholme is great for walking down the hill to Torquay harbour and all the eateries. We ate at the oldest pub in Torquay twice ( The hole in the wall) as we know it’s good food, but there are so many places to eat. We wanted to explore Salcombe and it was amazing, we really enjoyed our day there, take the ferry to South sands beach and ride on the sea tractor it was Amazing Mel packs you up some muffins every day to take out with you, most enjoyable Book a stay with Mel and Paul you won’t be disappointed.

What a beautiful place to stay. Mel & Paul are the best b&b owners we've ever stayed anywhere with. Breakfast was to die for & Mel bakes muffins every day. She bags them up for you to take with you. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable & what a view. The hospitality tray was amazing everything on offer & really nice biscuits. Ensuite was very clean but most of all......the shower was brilliant proper power shower not just a trickle of water. We would definitely recommend this B&B to everyone visiting Torquay. Yes it's up on a hill but so are most of them Torquay isn't flat. I use a walking stick & managed with plenty rests .
