My daughter (12) and I stayed for a week in the summer holidays and absolutely loved it. You are placed in groups of 12 with other families with similar aged children We were apprehensive at first as the other families consisted of 2 boys, 2 girls and another boy but the kids hit it off together and were all playing... It was horrible to be here, food was terrible worth not even 1 pound which is the budget per person according to the kitchen staff. You pay a lot, but get rubbish, one time the food was covered with fungus. If a child wanted to say something about it, he got threatened to be sent away. He was not allowed... More

A great place to try out a load of different activities from aeroball to abseiling and canoeing to quadbiking - there really is something for everyone (even adrenaline junkies with a hook up to a harness zipwire & a Giant swing)! Accommodation is basic but as your room is only for sleeping (& changing) in, that's okay - at least... More

Spend 7 days with the family early August. We had a great time from start to finish. Great activities with staff friendly and helpful, with most of them slightly mad which made it all even better. Accommodation and Food ok however was great as we did not have to think about anything during the week. PGL Barton Hill is also... More

Booked a seven day break with my two sons aged 11 and 15. This was our first PGL holiday. We booked two chalets. My youngest and I had a twin whilst eldest had one with two bunk beds. The accommodation is basic but it's clean, comfy beds, plenty of hot water. Would recommend taking a pillow. Tea/coffee provided. If you're... More

We spent a week here recently. Love the itineries but the accommodation vastly needs updating. Whole family really engaged every day, instructors were fantastic. We had great weather but I'm not sure how good our review would have been if we had been cold and damp in the cramped rooms. I can see how they could be acceptable to school... More

I took my 7 year old here for a week, he had an amazing time, we arrived at 4 and we where greeted by a pgl member that showed us to our room. We then meet out the front for a quick guided tour, you are given a sheet with your weeks activities on them and when you have your... More

We had a great time with our 2 young children. The reason it falls short of full marks is the chalet. We paid £300 more than the last reviewer and we allocated a chalet with 2 sets of bunk beds, this was bearable, but the lack of a table, chair and really any space at all made it a difficult... We have been twice now, 2016 and 2014. Both times we have had a great family holiday. The chalets are ok. Beds are comfortable enough and the food is OK.(bearable for one week), The staff are excellent. The facilities are excellent. The pool is great. We holidayed with 2 rooms,2 bathrooms, full board, activities included, for just over £800 for... More

We booked a PGL adventure family holiday because we all enjoy outdoor sports. This holiday was fantastic and the activities were fabulous.
