Impeccable hotel stay. Comfortable bedroom, which was beautifully decorated and had everything you needed in the room. Delicious quality breakfast which was cooked perfectly and hosts were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We enjoyed it so much, we are booked again for two nights for my birthday weekend this coming weekend. Great spot for walking in to town and along the seafront. Nice bar and breakfast room.

We booked a 2 night midweek stay and were greeted warmly as we parked. Checkin was very informative and so friendly. Our room was very comfortable with a great bed, quality linen and a nicely fitted bathroom. Breakfast was very good - the highlight being the omlettes. The eggs come from local hens fed on marigolds so the yolks are an amazing orange and taste great. Overall a superb stay with such a friendly couple running the hotel. The location is great, just minutes from everything. Will definitely return.

My husband and i stayed here in Aug for our wedding anniversary, and could not have picked a better place. Located a short ( but with a small hill) walk to Torquay Quay. Excellent base for everything local.. Martin, Kyla and their daughter were amazing. So friendly, nothing was too much trouble.. The place was fantastic, we had a room Overlooking the pool and it felt like a 5* hotel. There is a bar, a room to sit in for quiet time and they provide menus with cutlery at the bar so you can order a takeaway and eat it there. (I thought that was a great idea) Lovely seating area around the fantastic pool and an undercover bit . And they can supply drinks and snacks/cream tea/sandwich during the day (at extra very reasonable cost) The rooms was huge, dressing gowns and slippers were provided and a stocked mini fridge. Breakfast... WOW!! Absolutely outstanding.. We stayed 3 days, it definitely wasn't long enough. We will be back. Photos do not do it justice. Also booking direct was cheaper than any site. We arrived to find ample parking. There are 2 x EV 22kw Charging points. We had a friendly greeting. Our standard dbl on the ground floor was beautifully decorated, clean, plenty of storage space and had a modern shower room. The breakfast was superb and had ample choice from both continental and the hot food menu. The location was convenient to all amenities. The outside swimming pool was closed for the winter but looked fantastic. There is a well stocked bar and comfortable communal room. We would definitely stay here again.

Such a lovely hotel, central to everything in Torquay. Kyla and Martin are brilliant hosts.Bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect and plenty, all cooked fresh to order.Would recommend this place to friends and family if they was visiting Torquay

Perfect from start to finish. Great welcome with an unexpected, but appreciated, early check in. Room and all facilities were immaculate. The swimming pool was clean, with ample sunbeds and the perfect temperature on a very hot day. Breakfast, cooked to order, was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The box of anniversary chocolates was a lovely and highly appreciated small touch. Torguay is hilly, but the Devon Court was a doable walk form the beach/harbour, where there is a great choice of restaurants and things to do.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and returning was like coming to stay with friends. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the hosts, they thrive on making sure that all of their guests are happy and have everything they need to make their stay perfect. They have very high standards, everywhere is spotlessly clean, comfy beds, airy rooms and a sumptuous, varied breakfast. The hosts work tirelessly to make this an outstanding place to stay and always manage to keep smiling every day! We can't wait to come back again soon!

Previous reports about this hotel are largely accurate so I won't repeat them. Positives - Good location; free parking on site and in road outside; outdoor heated swimming pool in very well kept garden; outstanding breakfast; great hosts; good bar; tea, coffee, biscuits, kettle in room; bathrobes; free pool towels Negatives - Uncomfortable bed for me; nothing luxurious about the room (but nothing wrong either); expensive @ £160 per night Overall - Would definetely recommend this place and we would stay here again if overnighting in Torquay

The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was a treat. They now have a pool. Martin and Kyla took great care of us. The location is close to the harbor. It is up a slight hill. It is also close to bus stops.
