We booked 3 nights for a last minute get away. Accommodation was spotlessly clean with all Covid measurements in place. Breakfast was fabulous and the homemade shortbread and rock cakes were very welcome after a day out. Amanda and Brian were lovely and friendly and the accommodation is very dog friendly. It was about a 10 minute walk to the seafront and about 20 minute walk to the town centre. Quiet area with adequate parking. A lovely stay and would definitely recommend. Thank you

From the moment we arrived Amanda and Brian made us feel incredibly welcome. They remembered our names and our drinks at Breakfast. Amanda bakes the most delicious shortbread for her guests and these are very welcome after a long trip. They love dogs and when we got in our room a treat and a water bowl were waiting for Gus ... much to his delight! The rooms were absolutely spotless and cleaner than any premium hotel that i have stayed in, in the area before. Please lets support our local businesses in these tricky times as they need our support.

Currently here on 3 night having previously stayed here the last couple of Septembers. This B&B is in the heart of Torquay and a short walking distance to the main seafront. Although we had every holiday this year we'd booked cancelled and the one we should of been on this weekend, we emailed Amanda a few months back and they had availability so we booked here as knew Amanda and Bryan would have the covid safe set up under their belt... And they have with masks to be worn in communal areas and plenty of sanitiser stations. The new normal rules are nicely put on the folder in your room without it being shouted at you around the lodge. Amanda & Bryan are excellent hosts and take an interest in their guests. The rooms are exceptionally clean, small touches of tea making facilities along with biscuits, mints and bathroom accessories. The beds are comfortable and a good night's sleep is ensured. Breakfast is cooked by Amanda and served in the breakfast room over looking the garden which is beautifully planted and somewhere to enjoy on a nice day. Breakfast consists of a good variety of cereal, fresh fruits, yoghurt and a choice of either a Full English, Pancakes, Baps or Muffins and all still available at your table by Tasha who was working hard catering for all. Breakfast is now staggered to so the breakfast room is never full of guests. King's Lodge has a comfortable conservatory with a Bar that we often after breakfast took our cuppa to it to finish or in the evening sat with Amanda & Bryan, with other guests for a beverage. Kings Lodge is a well run B&B with all attention paid to detail and guests feeling welcome and part of the family. The owners dog Willow is a gem and the new arrival Hazel who's gorgeous and although this place allows dogs you'll be hard pushed to find a dog hair! We've had a wonderful stay as have done previous years and it's been nice to sit and enjoy the garden/conservatory and now serving a light evening menu of Jacket Potatoes, paninis and nachos which we also enjoyed. Thankyou again for a fabulous stay and we're always sorry to head home as feel so comfortable here.

Such a lovely b&b. We really enjoyed our stay. Our room was spotless and so comfortable. The shower was amazing! Cannot fault our room at all, it was perfect. Great hosts, nothing too much trouble. Nice bar for a drink before heading into town. Unfortunately we had to leave early so missed out on Breakfast☹️ We will definitely be back.. (with our cockapoo) Thank you Amanda & Brian. (Willow & Hazel too!) 🐾
