We had a awesome stay at Nethway Hotel, Torquay. The owners Gary and Julie were very warm and friendly. They can't do enough for you. The other staff was also good with customer service. The choice of food and quality was excellent. The rooms were very good. On the Thursday we were offered a cream tea or high tea at an extra cost which absolutely awesome. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Gary and Julie couldn't have been more welcoming. From our arrival we were informed of the Covid routines that had been put in place that were more than adequate. Having purchased the Hotel last year only to find out it needed extensive repairs they have set about a renervation program and are achieving their dream very successfully. The hotel is comfortable with easy location to all the attractions Torquay and the surrounding area offers with wonderful views of the Bay and to top off our stay they also serve a excellent and bountyfull breakfast. We wish Gary and Julie every success in their venture and we are already looking forward to visiting them next year.

After 4 years came here for Friday to Sunday weekend stay. Gary & Julie gave a warm welcome & free coffee/tea whilst giving a brief talk on rules & dining times here. We had a clean sea view with a balcony room ensuite, with a stunning view of the garden, swimming pool Torquay left & Torbay coast right. Breakfast was a varied menu to suit all & evening menu included veggie options with portions adequate.
Evening entertainment available, wedding venues & a children's afternoon party catered for. Friendly & efficient staff with 1 coach & 4 car parking spaces here. Trip Advisor Award 2022 is justified at this small Hotel away from the busy seafront. We had room 22.

This hotel is just a few minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes from the centre of Torquay. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite, nothing was too much trouble and even with Covid restrictions the hotel appeared to run smoothly and we were made to feel that every precaution had been taken to ensure a 'covid safe' stay.
The room was basic but clean, the breakfast was super and the bar was well stocked and open!!
For a budget hotel I'd certainly recommend the Nethway Hotel :-)

Just arrived back from a weekend 60's break. There were 42 of us taken there by Greenline Coaches & not one complaint from any of us The hotel is spotless, clean & comfy Gary & Julie, the owners even dressed up the room & themselves in 60,s & joined us in the fun, nothing was too much trouble for them. We enjoyed it so much that all 42 of us are going back again in October. Thank you Julie & Gary for all you did to make our stay a memorable one. See you in October

Stayed @ The Nethway last week , the worst hotel i've ever stayed at , food was awful , & thats being polite . Beds not made , duvet just straightened , pillows left propped against headboard & sheet left crumpled . Dusty skirting boards . Never saw any sign of cleaners or kitchen staff , wandered if owners saving money by doing it themselves . Very disapointed doesn't cover it . Oh & no wi-fi coverage , needed to contact GP .

Had a monday to friday coach trip to the Nethway hotel mid august. Welcomed by gary who issued the room numbers. Told we would be the only ones with access to the room due to the covid restrictions. Any extra towels, tea ,coffee etc could be had at reception during our stay. The first nights meal was not one would be used to however they did have a function that afternoon which restricted i assume what they could offer. There after the meals we found were good and tasty . They were served by the very pleasant chefs and one could have seconds if liked. The room we had was excellent clean ,nice comfy bed and lovely view. Entertainment was on tuesday and thursaday night again very good. We found Julie and Gary very helpful and wish them all the best for the future in these difficult times. We would visit again. Thanks to all at the Nethway and to our coach driver Steve who looked after us all very well.

Me and my girlfriend plumped for a stay here week commencing 10/10,with a coach trip,Edwards Coaches.we were made to feel welcome from the word go.the owner,Gary, came on the bus and said "come on in we have tea coffee and biscuits waiting for you".The room was lovely room 23 ,overlooking the pool, gardens and sea in the distance.entertainmemt was fab, northern soul on the first night and further entertainment on the Tuesday and Thursday night's. Breakfast had plenty on offer ,full English cooked breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, etc.porridge as well.extremely swift service.anything you wanted just ask.they could not do enough for you.evenig meals were lovely too you book at breakfast and there was ample choice.the fish cakes tasted as nice,if not better than the chippy ones.favourite meal was the beer battered fish and chips with mushy peas.on my birthday they brought out a sponge pudding with a candle (which I jokingly requested at breakfast) as an added bonus to my dessert i had. The hotel is clean, tidy and i already want to stay again for the weekend .if you get the chance to go on a trip you won't be disappointed. It is around a ten to fifteen minute walk to the town centre ,quickest route 0.8 miles to union street i think?the train station is less than a miles walk and you can use the scenic walk to the seafront which is so pretty.the only bugbear was there was no wi do available but this was IN NO WAY the fault of the hotel as there is 5 g being implemented nearby.but I had no issues with mobile signal anywhere at the hotel .hats off to fantastic Gary and his fantastic staff .richard and suzanne

Great location, only a short walk to the sea front. Stayed on an Edwards Coach Trip and it was exceptional value for money. Food good always a choice, fantastic Sunday Lunch and good entertainment. Rooms were basic but very clean and warm, hairdryer in room but no hospitality tray but Tea/coffee/Chocolate available 24 hours by the bar. Staff were lovely and very polite. as was Gary and Julie the owners, always around if you needed them. We even had a High Tea put on for us which was really lovely - although too full from all the other food we had been given earlier to eat very much of it.
Would certainly recommend a stay if you are looking for somewhere comfortable and clean and not too far back from the sea front.

Booked this due to the lovely photographs and positive reviews. We were disappointed from the moment we pulled up as the hotel didn't match its pictures. Walking in to the hotel, we were hit with the smell of stale beer (it smelt like a pub pre smoking ban). We were 'greeted' and when we explained the hotel wasn't what we expected, we were asked quite rudely: are you checking in or not. We checked in hoping the rooms would be better... they weren't. The hotel was dirty, lots of dust on pictures/skirting boards in hallways and rooms, scuffed wall, furniture was marked, our bed base was torn and dirty and the mattress wasn't much better. Extractor fan in our bathroom sounded like you were on the runway at Heathrow. For a hotel at £100+ a night, pictures were falling apart, furniture seen better days and there was no attention to little details. We decided not to stay and we were given a full refund but without any grace or apology. We then left.

I think there is a hairdryer in the room. My partner has a Dyson one, obviously we were glad we brought it with us but I can't remember if that was because there wasn't a dryer or that it was a hotel standard one? Hope this helps.
