Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. Lovely bedroom and the power shower was the most powerful ever! The only problem was noise, hoovering whilst I was trying to sleep plus lots of noise from drunk people outside however this wasn't the fault of the hotel. Very nice breakfast.

Elderly aunt, husband and I had carvery. The meat was chewy, all vegetables band gravy were cold or Luke warm. Poor value for money. Vegitarian option for a hot meal is only risotto. After 20 years in town, I feel this eating option is tired. There is much competition in town.

Thank you for taking the time to feed back on your recent visit to us, I am sorry to see we did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We have recently appointed a new head chef, who has come from our sister hotel in Dartmouth. Dan is bringing with him exciting new menus, and a new lease of life...

A bit late in writing this review but I went to this lovely place in December for a Christmas party with work and I have to say it was excellent! The food was festive and very tasty with decently sized portions - so my compliments go to the chef. The atmosphere that was created was perfect and all staff were...

Nice room, comfy bed with excellent breakfast. Parking bit limited and smokers outside bar can be a bit noisy but overall great value with the 50% off offer in Jan. Staff great to, no hesitation in recommending.

We stayed as a family for one night only this weekend. It would have been nice to stay for longer. From the minute we checked in slightly early we were made to feel very welcome. Our rooms were lovely, cozy and very quiet. We loved the variety of bars - something for everyone - the sports bar showing the rugby...

A very reasonable 2 night break in January in this lovely town . Our room was warm and comfortable with bath and shower and unusually a teapot! The bar, waiting and reception staff we polite and helpful at all times. We ate here twice in the evening, once for curry night, which was a little disappointing and bar food the...

We ate in the bar area rather than the restaurant. Very good service and friendly staff. Decent pub food but nothing special: very good onion soup, rather bland fish cakes, the fish and chips was OK. There are better places to eat in Totnes.

Six of us booked for Sunday lunch on a bright but cold day. Restaurant was pretty busy but not overcrowded. Parking was an issue: 2 of the party were 92 and had to park in a supermarket as the hotel car park was small and the signage made it clear it was unavailable. Service was fine. Food was mixed. The...

Thank you for your feedback. You may see from some of our other responses lately that all our menus are being updated currently, so any reviews of our food are really appreciated. Unfortunately the hotel car park is very small, and for this reason reserved for hotel residents only. We appreciate this can cause difficulties with other guests who may...

I visited the seven stars in October half term for dinner with friends. A couple of us ordered the goats cheese salad which came out about 5 mins after ordering. Then around half an hour later my friends meal came, then 15 mins after that the final meal of steak came. The food was delicious though. I visited again in...

Stayed 2 nights 12 & 13th January. The hotel is situated right in the middle of town very convenient to shop on the quaint high street and take walks by the river.
