We both ordered a well done rump steak.
Steaks exactly how we ordered them.
Waiting time as expected as Totnes Christmas Market night and the place was busy.
Nice meal and pleasant staff and surroundings.
Definitely will return and hope the solo musician isn't on as he was very loud and boring.

We had our Christmas get together here for the third year running as we've really loved the venue and food from the offset and the menu suits us all; non vegetarian and vegetarian mix of friends. This year was our best experience so far and means we will definitely be coming back next year. We have, in the past, eaten in the restaurant/bar area on request, which was lovely. This year though we had, as I understand it, a room that was especially set up for Christmas meals in a separate area from the bar. Well all I can say is I want to know how we can organise this for next year as it was superb. We had a room to ourselves and along with our waiter Adam, who was THE most attentive and helpful waiter ever, we felt like VIP's and that we had paid extra for special traeatment. It was a wonderful experience and the food was absolutely perfect. Tasty and beautifully presented and at a very reasonable price. Absolute top marks for everything, including who I can only assume was the owner or manger of the hotel who we happened to speak to on leaving and was very pleased at receiving positive comments and who obviously valued his dedicated staff. Sadly I don't have any photos-we were too busy enjoying our day. We'll be trying to book the same space for next December. Totally recommend this place.

We had a very good dinner at the Royal Seven Stars Hotel. Lover the atmosphere. The set menus were perfect.
The service was excellent. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great dinner in Totnes.

Friendly helpful staff.

Twin-bed room: functional guest house type room with excellent en suite shower room.

The restaurant was located at the end of the bar to make it more cosy in the winter. The quiet room restaurant was used for breakfast and functions.Young bar and restaurant staff. A nice open fire in the bar, which has a great choice of real ales.

Very good quality restaurant food. The Classic Fritto Misto was a nice surprise when it came with fresh pieces of fish rather than in batter. The bouillabaisse sauce complimented it very well, so the saffron aioli was not required. Fish of the day was hake, again very good. The buttered samphire was too salty for my taste. Good desserts and wines.

I hope to return soon.

Lovely to be back in Totnes. Lunch at the Seven Stars was perfect. Friendly staff. Hake and mussels with samphire, parmentier potatoes and saffron cream sauce - looked stunning and tasted delicious. Roast pork with lots of crackling, yorkshire pud, perfectly roasted root veg, superb roast potatoes and very tasty cauliflower gratin. Topped off with passion fruit and white chocolate cheesecake - perfect Sunday lunch.
