Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great location, lovely room with a sea view. Went to a concert and got back just before 10pm, when the bar was due to close. David was serving another guest. He was cheerful and friendly and joked with everyone. He was happy to serve our drinks and served a few more people and only left after everyone had been served. Its very rare to get service like this nowadays. Give that man a pay rise!

This is a very good value hotel in a great location. The breakfast was OK but not special. The room was fine, though the shower lacked pressure. Car parking at £7:50 was a bit steep, particularly as you could park on the roads near the hotel for nothing. A bit noisy, with a car alarm going off all night and the bin men coming at 6am. The manager was very welcoming when we arrived in the late afternoon and was still warm and friendly after an all night shift, when we left in the morning. It made the stay a bit special.

The room was large. Everything was clean. The TV did not work but I went to reception and George came up and was polite, efficient and even managed to fix the TV. Thank you George. The remote control didn't work so my only niggle. The shower was great, the tea was good and the sea was so close i loved it. I would definitely go again. Parking was £7 for 24 hrs then £3 for 4 hrs. Onroad parking was free but no spaces but I thought the charges were really reasonable.

I stayed over 4 nights and I have just returned. A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Good breakfast and a well stocked bar with staff who were helpfull and friendly, especially Paula and David. Parking reasonably priced, £7 for 24 hours, room clean and bed good. Great for a short visit.

We stayed here with our Labrador for three nights early October during a very warm spell. Upon arrival we tried to park outside the reception but there were no spaces. A receptionist showed us to another small car park a few yards away with tight spaces. We parked here for a short time while we unpacked and was told we had twenty minutes before we were charged. It is quite expensive and if you leave then try to return you have to pay again, that is IF you can find a place. After that we managed to find a free place to park on the roads around. That is the downside but the rest of our visit was perfect. The room we were allocated because we had a dog was on the second floor and it was huge with two single beds and an Accessible wet room which was newly refurbished, with soap dispensers containing very nice smelling bath and shower gels, unlike those ubiquitous tiny hard plastic bottles of toiletries where you can only manage to get a small amount out from and are an environmental disaster. The strange thing about Travelodges as we found out is that they don't have a wardrobe, just a small rail. There was also a chair and desk. It was all very clean and we even had a seaview. The staff were pleasant. Dogs are not.allowed in the small dining room and one evening we fancied a dronk in the bar so sat just outside near the lift. Not ideal. There are several pubs and restaurants nearby. We had a very pleasant stay there while visiting friends who live nearby.
