Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Kath is a wonderful host, the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a good choice of food for breakfast, there is also a small kitchen with a microwave and fridge for guests to use. It's only a 5 minute walk to the beach, and it's a great walk along the prom to the pier. Room 1 has a balcony, which is a lovely place to sit and have a cup of tea in the sunshine.

Such an amazing location, wandered down to the beach every morning; literally just around the corner! A beautiful house and gorgeous en suite rooms. Kath and Ian are really welcoming and constantly go above and beyond. Massively recommended!

Was not disappointed after choosing to book four nights at the Fircliff based on the wonderful reviews on here. Cath is an attentive, effortlessly friendly and knowledgable host, the room was spotlessly clean with a quality mattress/bed and stylishly furnished, the breakfast cereal station was well stocked with an array of yogurts/fruits and cooked breakfast was superb and beautifully presented, cannot fault this gem of a B&B, excellent value for the very reasonable rate, have already recommended it to a relative who will be staying in the area this Summer.

been to the fircliff a few time now always a pleasure, the rooms are well decorated, but the window in room 7 could do with a better blind on it as the room is so bright at half 5 in the morning, other than that it was perfect for what we needed. the location is spot on 5 minute walk and your on the beach. Bournemouth town centre is only a 15/20 minute walk along the from. All in all a lovely bnb

This was great. A combination of a really friendly host, good food, comfortable surroundings and bike storage in a locked shed were brilliant. The bonuses were that they dropped us into town and even took one of our party to a bike shop to sort out repairs.

Quietly located adjacent to Alum Chine this traditional guesthouse is immaculate, friendly 100yds from the beach (dog friendly towards the west, child friendly in the east). The esplanade stretches for miles and the walk to the pier is 15+ minutes but flat. Great breakfast choices with gluten free and vegetarian catered for. En-suite rooms with TV, very soft beds. I needed a place to relax and this proved ideal.

My Wife booked the Fircliff Hotel in Alum Chine near Bournemouth based on advice from Tripadvisor. The Fircliff is well placed and just short walk from the Durley Chine Beach. We were greeted and showed straight to our room, which was clean, tidy and well presented. In fact the whole guesthouse/hotel was tastefully decorated and had a very welcoming atmosphere. We had an excellent breakfast, full English of course, which pretty much lasted us the whole day long! I would certainly stay at this guesthouse again as it represented great value for money with excellent breakfasts and friendly proprietors.

We have just got back from our third stay at the Fircliff, and will be going again as soon as we can. We visit Bournemouth on a regular basis and love to stay at the Westbourne end, we discovered the Fircliff when the place we used to stay closed. Kath keeps it immaculately clean and beautifully decorated, for a B&B she definately goes the extra mile and I doubt you will find a better breakfast in Bournemouth. can't wait till next time.

We stayed at the Fircliff for 2 nights for Valentines weekend and were not disappointed. Kath who runs the Fircliff is a lovely lady who will help you in any way she can. Room was great size lovely bathroom shower room also. Great breakfast in the morning, fresh fruit, cereals and full English if required. Situated in Alum Chine so nice and quiet, 10 minute walk to Westbourne drinks and meals and about 25 minutes walk on the seafront into Bournemouth. We will certainly be returning. Thanks Kath. Regards peter.
