The hotel is warm and friendly, the Christmas decorations are beautifully done. The decor throughout the hotel is exceptional. The location is central which is perfect as you can leave your car in the hotel car park and walk everywhere. Our family room was lovely with a great bathroom and nice big beds. Breakfast was very good with lots of options for parents and kids. Perfect for a family visit to Bournemouth.

Asked for room with large window. Got it. Asked for extra sausage (delicious). Got it.! The rooms and the whole hotel are beautifully decorated. The beds very comfy, lovely crisp linen. Extra large fluffy towels. All the staff are very helpful and friendly, especially in the dining room. Great breakfast, 10 out of 10. Lovely hotel. Well done Best Western. Really enjoyed our visit.

I will definitely be coming back to this hotel, everything was just amazing! From the food and drinks to the rooms. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff are so hardworking, friendly and attentive to your every need, nothing is ever too much trouble. The restaurant and bar area is beautifully decorated with great cocktails and food. Our room was so well decorated and nice and clean too. The location is a bonus too so close to the beach and the pier, couldn't of asked for more from this hotel, me and my husband had a fabulous holiday!

We celebrated our wedding with family and had a wonderful time. The staff we professional, efficient and friendly a real credit to the hotel nothing was too much trouble to make us feel special. Our food was delicious and our breakfast was good value. I would recommend Hotel Collingwood and will be staying here when visiting Bournemouth

I was part of a hen weekend and I arrived on Friday 10th November. The room I was originally assigned looked nice but was extremely hot. As the evening went on I noticed tiny flies that I had to keep swatting. I noticed more and more as the evening went on to the point where I was killing more than 10 and kept seeing more on my pillows and bedding. I eventually asked to move rooms as this was clearly not normal! The room I was loved to was smaller but adequate, however, I was left itching, and could not settle as I constantly felt I had things crawling on me. Had I not been part of a hen weekend, I would have left that night! Even the person on the front desk when he dem to my room to help me move was shocked by the flies as they flew across his face and he could see them on the walls etc. so imagine my shock and comets disgust when our bride to be checked in in the Saturday and they had assigned the fly infested room to her!! I went to check her room with her and we saw at least 5 flies, and she hadn’t even been in there yet!! When we complains to the manage on site, he was rude, dismissive, arrogant and basically did not believe us! He wanted to check the room ‘for himself, even when I told him what had happened the previous night. I asked him why he allowed a room that had reports of a fly infestation to be let out to other guests, and he simply said there is no infestation. There were 20+ flies in the space of 3 hours and then at least 5 when no one had even been in the room, so I don’t know what he thought it was! There is clearly a problem with flies in the room that needs proper investigation before allowing people to stay in there. I was absolutely disgusted that they had let the room out. You could clearly smell my spray in there, which the cleaning staff had obviously used, but it clearly was not sufficient! Because of this and the managers attitude, it ruined what would have been a lovely stay. The rest of the staff were lovely, and the food etc amazing. But I will not stay in a hotel where the manager on site accuses the guests of lying and does not take claims of fly infestations seriously! And I cannot recommend anyone else stay there either. It was room 211, so beware!!…

We enjoyed a lovely anniversary getaway at this lovely hotel, The team were extremely friendly and helpful, the service was top notch. Our room was very nice with modern decor, a new bathroom and a large comfy bed. Breakfast was lovely all cooked fresh and very tasty. The location is very central and lots of parking makes it a perfect place to stay when visiting Bournemouth.

This hotel is very run down. Our hotel room door did not shut properly and there was a hole in the bedroom ceiling. Thin walls and ceilings made sleeping impossible. No TV signal. The receptionist looked bored and yawned as we were talking to her. In the restaurant at breakfast time, Heinz ketchup bottles were on the tables, but there was definitely not Heinz inside. The horrible cheap ketchup ruined the bacon roll ordered. I’m sure pouring cheap ketchup into a Heinz bottle is an allergen issue, and is not what you expect for £200 a night. The jacuzzi was a strange dirty looking colour and was foaming, indicating it needed cleaning. Would sadly not recommend or stay here again.

Writing this review on behalf of my parents, my mum and dad have been coming to the Collingwood for many years now. When my parents visited my dad became ill staff were fully supportive and reimbursed my parents due to having to leave early. During the stay, the hotel put a birthday card through my mum and dad’s door for my dads birthday, not many places would do this just go to show the collingwood looks after their customers. Thank you again!

This was our third stay at this excellent hotel. We came to celebrate my partner's birthday and were warmly welcomed and made to feel special. Our Signature room was lovely, beautifully decorated with a large comfi bed. The breakfast is a real treat, cooked to order and high quality. The barman was excellent, a large range of local gins and a great selection of cocktails. Ib highly recommend hotel and hope to return soon.
