This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in! I don't ask for a lot in a room but there was no heating at all and I had to go to my car to warm up! The staff were lovely but I had to call down to reception (using my mobile as there was no phone) and ask to put... More

Arrived to a warm welcome, room was minute but clean & had done their best to fit everything into such a small space. Food was very good & dining room staff very hardworking & cheerful, plentiful free tea & coffee, tables decorated with festive cheer. 99p bar until 9pm each evening, well attended but rather long queues! Wifi was only... More

Loved the area, hotel is dated and full of lots of foreign visitors, made you feel a little intimidated sometimes. Hotel needs a bit of TLC. Not eaten here as restaurant always seemed hot. We had a nice room, but some rooms were quite small.

After spending £92 for a double room on a Saturday evening I was rather disappointed. This did include breakfast but the variety wasn't great. The hotel it's self is rather dated and we stayed in a tiny room!! It looked like it had new carpet in the room but we noticed a few cobwebs attached to the walls!! Bathroom was... More

Heathlands was good value for money, the beds were comfy and it was clean. There was a great mirror in the room which lit up so ideal for makeup, ensuite was basic but adequate. Our main dissapointment was that checkout was at 10am, we enquired whether we could have a later checkout, hotel was willing to let us checkout at... More

We have been taking a group of 100-150 ladies to this hotel for many years now, and although there has always been a lot of problems over the years, we have always stuck with the Heathlands because it offers the large rooms that we require for our activities. Yes, some of the rooms need attention, yes the heating is a... More

Right from the off, you have to have realistic expectations when staying somewhere like this. It is an old English building - typical of thousands around the country in seaside resorts - which must be at least 100 years old. The floors are uneven and it has a bit of a rabbit warren feel to it. So, it is never... More

I had read varying reviews before we stayed here and thought maybe people were being a little harsh - but no. Our bed was comfortable but that is about the only positive thing I can say. The bathroom was old as we had half expected - but there was NO water pressure at all - I do not think I... More
