I cannot fault my stay at the Cumberland. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and food was nice. The room was modern and cleaned every day (which is pleasantly surprising because not all hotels do this during the pandemic). WiFi connection was great too. Considering all the restrictions and protocols that the hospital tut sector has to follow at the moment, they didn't let it inconvenience their guests. I look forward to visiting the Cumberland again.
Enjoyed our stay, Room was clean and food was good and the artist was very entertaining.. Would recommend to my family and would come again. A good variety of tribute acts to choose from. Hoping next time the corona virus has been lifted.
We attended the ABBA tribute night and festive meal at the Cumberland. No complaints everything was excellent and the Covid security felt well executed. The festive food was good and the service friendly and attentive...this was our first experience here and we will definitely be back... well done and thanks...
Excellent hotel, great service, food was superb,, fantastic value for money, took my mum for a birthday treat for her 70th, it's been so hard this year mentally with covid 19, they did everything they could to make it as normal as possible, thank you for a great stay
Booked a stay at the Cumberland back in September for early November thinking all should be settled and quiet. Couldn’t have guessed on “lockdown 2”!!! Contacted the hotel’s main booking and easily rebooked a new date in December. They did offer a refund, but more important with this year was a need to have a break. My wife and I arrived beginning of the week 14 December thinking it might be quiet we were surprised. It was not overcrowded with lots of guests, but pleasantly busy. On arrival we were nicely welcomed and checked in by the receptionist. Arriving early our room was ready, which was a lovely modern room and a bottle of wine to welcome us! The room, reception area, lounges, restaurant and bars were immaculately clean and maintained during our stay. Shortly after discovering our lovely room, we dropped down for a cream tea, and amazed at the beautiful Christmas decorations and lighting thru out the public areas. So nice to relax in the lounge with a great pot of tea and scones & cream, and realising life’s still going on! The evening was enjoyed with a set three course meal. And what a great meal, choice and the effort with the presentation. This is where I must congratulate and thank the staff and management with their care, organisation, and dedication to serving their guests during this particular time with rules, restrictions and face masks!!! All the staff knew what they had to do, but making you feel relaxed and normal. Following morning was a lovely and enjoyable breakfast, always my favourite and always a good measure of the hotels effort. To sum up, little surprise how others review the hotel, this is the best hotel and deal I have found in Bournemouth. And can say I have stayed in up to twenty hotels and their deals over the last ten years. Including the Suncliff Hotel (sister hotel to the Cumberland Hotel) next door which was a pleasant stay too. Just to say, I live in the south and my parents lived and came from Bournemouth, center of the universe and best part of my life! Congratulations to Bournemouth, it’s shops and hotels. Still a great place to visit and stay. Will I be I to the Cumberland hotel, you can bet I will be in the new year!…
