I had my birthday dinner on the 31st of December 2022, and I am happy it was at Mercure Bournemouth Queens Hotel & Spa. The staff was so amazing that I got a signed card gift from the entire team and a box of chocolate. The food was so delicious. They sang for me, and I was an emotional wreck😍. I always believe in customer satisfaction, and they made me feel like a princess. If you are ever in Bournemouth and looking for a hotel to stay that is also close to the beach, then Mercure should be your choice. The ambience is beautiful. I had a great time and will definitely go back!.

Fantastic massage from Amy! The pressure was perfect and my back feels so much better than it did. Our stay was very relaxing and would highly recommend. The evening meal was delicious and there was plenty of variety. The staff were very welcoming and made the most fabulous cocktails.

I only used the spa. It was clean, tidy lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff and use of other facilities. Had a lovely massage and thoroughly enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi and Sauna. Especially, relaxing in the beautiful spa lounge. Will come again!

I had booked directly with the hotel over the phone about a month in advance for to book for the bank holiday weekend. Arrived at the hotel, go to the room, key doesnt work. So my partner goes back to reception and they tell us they double booked us! So we had booked the junior suite and we had to stay in a standard room, such a downgrade… they said they will refund us for a complete night. We check out ask to process the refund and THEY CHARGED US A NIGHT INSTEAD OF REFUND!!! had to drive back to bournemouth for them to issue the refund.

Date of stay 8 March 4 nights On arrival Hair dryer not working. No bath mat in bath/shower slip hazard! Door to balcony broken. Paid extra at reception for parking for the duration of the stay. On second day pool closed due to chlorine levels high and didn't reopen during our stay! Hairdryer sorted, bath mat sorted, Nothing done to repair the balcony door. 2 weeks after my stay at this substandard hotel I recieved a parking fine saying I had not paid the appropriate fee. All in all some what of a disastrous 4 nights away.

We had a mixed day with this hotel, so my review reflects that. I booked this hotel based on the fact my niece had her wedding booked here for Sept 25 which sadly she has now cancelled with this venue and I was unsure what to expect given that the hotel had gone into administration that same week. Sadly the hotel needs some sprucing up to look welcoming from the outside but when you walk in the hotel looked stunning and loved the decor. We had some great bar food and drinks on arrival. We then headed into our spa day. On arrival we paid for some additional cocktails and at that time I assumed I had paid my outstanding balance (I didn’t take note in all honesty of what I was tapping my card for) upon entering the pool area it was very dated the toilets were filthy and flooded no toilet roll in one. Felt like we were going through the back of beyond to get to the toilet with old furniture stacked up blocking areas. The changing rooms looked like something from the 60’s nothing like the beautiful decor of upstairs. It was dirty no bags in the holder for wet cosies, lockers that were either broken or the keys snapped or bent in half and barely fitted a bag in. There wasn’t enough lockers that were working that my mum used one that had to be left unlocked when she returned her stuff had been taken out and put to the side. There were no flip flops or slippers available to us but robes were included once the staff found some available. The staff were friendly and have to say we had a lovely treatment each, sadly though the room I was in for my massage had work being done above it so very noisy which the therapist did apologise for but not a relaxing experience and the room was freezing cold l, again not relaxing. But couldn’t fault the massage given. Despite 3 of us having the same treatment we all experienced the same treatment very differently which was unusual. Once I returned home I had an email the following day advising that they had forgotten to take the final balance (I had paid half upon booking) I obviously assumed that I had paid this but upon checking could see I hadn’t. I ask for bank details so I could transfer the amount across I was then given the PERSONAL bank account details for a therapist who worked there!! I obviously did not pay this to her personal account and highlighted this and asked for the hotels (creditors) details and paid the balance. I followed this up with a phone call and asked to speak to management regarding this an I am still yet to receive any reply! Sadly what should have been a an enjoyable relaxing Mother’s Day experience it was not on this occasion.

On arrival the member of staff was not welcoming. We got asked about booking breakfast when we’d already pre booked and had a confirmation. We were checked in but were not told where any facilities were, for example, bar, breakfast area and rooms. The cistern for the toilet in our room was constantly running noisily and the flush didn’t work properly. The room was not clean - marks on the floor and a few hairs on the bed sheet. The ceiling had paint falling off and the room was run down. On checking out, the member of staff (Sunday 3rd March at 11am) was rude. She didn’t ask how our stay was and she told us we had an outstanding bill for the parking and breakfast. We told her that we’d paid for parking on arrival and then had to show this as a confirmation for her to believe this. I would’ve thought it would’ve been on your system as we had to put in our car registration and card payment. We also explained that we had pre booked breakfast for a discounted rate but she wouldn’t accept this and just printed off an invoice that we had to pay. She was unfriendly. We had explained about the cistern in our room and her reply was ‘thank you’. We were not impressed with the lack of customer service, manners and run down room.
