We were after a place to stay for a couple of nights and we were not disappointed. We completely agree with all the previous positive reviews. Whilst the outside of the building is a little weathered, and some decor inside is a little tired...this hotel more than makes up for it in service, assistance, sea views, location and a smashing breakfast. They obviously use a decent local supplier for their sausages and bacon, and the conveyor toaster was the most efficient one I have ever used, and bread pefectly toasted time after time. The waiting staff were all very friendly too and kept an eye on the buffet to make sure that there was a supply of everything for all. The bed was large and extremely comfortable, our room perfectly spacious for the two of us, the bath towels were really big, again a bonus as other places offer a towel that barely goes round you. A lovely view towards both Bournemouth and Boscombe. We have no complaints as such, but would note a few "nice to haves". A better coffee than Nescafe Original in the rooms A small fridge to buy and chill a pint of milk as we are not fans of UHT The loo roll holder was not in the best place for access whilst seated We are both tall so the shower was a little low and the directions for use, a tad ambiguous.
Thanks for having us, we had a wonderful time

I have stayed in this Hotel numerous times over the years , but hate to say it has gone downhill.still love the quirky decoration ( getting a little tired ). The lift not working anymore . Where has the literature in the rooms gone , ie room service ect. Very poor selection in room Tea, Coffee very basic , couldn’t have a drink of cold water as the tap would only run warm . Couldn’t fault the room it was lovely and clean , nice large bed, good pillows. Shame about crack In washbasin. Breakfast was ok for £10 . Would’ve liked a pot of Tea , instead of cold tea in flasks . My biggest issue with the Hotel , was no staff , seemed to be one guy in reception, bit like a ghost town , I would’ve like a sandwich or some food in the evening!!. You weren’t told if they did food or not , it all seemed as if you were bothering them if you asked for anything. They used to have a nice restaurant but that’s now gone , such a shame to see a lovey Hotel going down hill !!

I could wake up to this view every day ☺️. We stayed here 2 nights for our honeymoon,we both love Bournemouth so much and visit regularly, this is the best place we have stayed. Room 18, has a 4 poster bed placed in the best place to Maximize those views, bed comfortable, fridge, a/c kettle, t.v with an onsuite bathroom. The hotel is very grand and smart, very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was fantastic, parking £10 per night extra but at least you can just leave your car and walk to the beach and town, without paying more parking costs. We definitely would stay here again.

Good location and staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good but not a buffet on the days i was there, decent continental breakfast selection. Parking available on site, lots of good walks as it’s right at the beach. However, this isn’t what I would class as a boutique hotel, rooms and facilities are really basic and it’s extremely tired as a hotel and the room I had (1) was not very nice. Great views but it was grubby and very much needed a full refurb. Carpet wrinkled and didn’t fit room, dirty and marked, the spiked gripper was exposed at the balcony door, so fairly dangerous. Ceiling flaking (paper or plaster) and walls marked. Bathroom clean but again just tired, hand wash and separate hair and body wash supplied. The bath mat was marked with what looked like blood, was changed quickly. No ironing facilities in rooms but have ironing room on third floor instead, that’s all fine but the ironing board up there is cheap and nasty, the foam and cover wasn’t (and couldn’t be) fitted so I spent most of the time fighting with it and trying to flatten that so not to iron creases and marks into the clothes. The lift wasn’t working, which is crazy as it appears to have been broken for months, why wouldn’t that be a priority to ensure customers of all abilities and ages can stay with you?! All good that there are rooms on the ground floor, what happens when the guest needs to iron and they need to climb three floors laden with clothes?
Sadly, I wouldn’t return given the shabbiness and tiredness of the place. Shame as great location and lots of potential.

Nice hotel, well decorated inside, in bold and bright colours. Room of nice size and clean and tidy. Elevator did not work, so it could be a trek up to upper floors. Outside could do with painting, looks like it has started, but with the sea weather, must be an on going task. Front (rear) entrance canopy could do with a good clean / replacing as green with algae, to set a better first impression. Breakfast was suitable and staff friendly. Location overlooking beach and switchback down to beach near by and 20 min walk into town. Would stay again.

Absolutely appalling customer service!!! We booked this hotel as a family get away after a tough few months. We called the property direct to book a room and was advised by the call taker to book the room through booking.com as this had the best rate but they would still give us a sea view room. A day after booking this hotel we had several emails from the hotel stating there was firstly no lift (which is not on their details, pictures will be provided) and then emails stating that we would not be getting our sea view and our room would be facing the car park. After my partner replied to the emails explaining our disappointment in this as we had been advised we would be getting our sea view, we had a call from a very unpleasant man called Paul. Paul stated he was cancelling the booking as there wasn’t enough staff and felt we was abusive. I stated to Paul that the emails displayed no form of abuse and was just outlining our disappointment. Paul then was pretending he could not hear me on the phone and kept saying “hello, hello I can’t hear you” even though the line was completely clear. I then asked Paul if I could speak to the manager and he told me I couldn’t and terminated the call. Nothing “boutique” about the customer service here. The hotel should be extremely disappointed with its self.

Me and my sister stayed here for two nights over April half term and considering that I felt the price was very reasonable. We stayed in a double room on the first floor and we were overly impressed with the cleanliness and amenities in the room, tv was a good size and tea and coffee was provided. The room as a whole was clean, a good size and had good storage, the bathroom was a little compact but not a complaint at all! The hotel and our room were clean, organised and managed well, there is a nice bar area and library which we used to relax in, a restaurant too downstairs but we didn’t visit unfortunately. The lift is dated but is part of the authentic charm that goes alongside the hotel, it is decorated in a bright and inviting way despite keeping a lot of its original characteristics. The staff on each area are attentive, friendly and are happy to chat about the history and current situation with the hotel, each member we met served with not only a smile but also we’re eager to help out with anything we needed further. We have already decided when we are coming back over the summer and we have said this is 100% the place we will stay (we are premier inn homebodies!) Thank you again to all the staff that made our stay lovely, we look forward to returning!

Location of boutique hotel is very nice located right on the sea beach but the structure is outdated and some renovation is needed. Room is good but bathhroom is conjested. Heating radiators were not working in the room and additional blower was provided after making request. Breakfast is good with limited items. No regular restaurent is available in nearby area and we had to go in market area for dinner. TV was without any use because internet was not available, whereas free wifi was good. Overall, this hotel appears to be expensive with this price.

Enjoyed our stay very much, just two nights. Hotel is far enough away from town to be quiet, it as an old building so some bits creak a little. Breakfast was very nice We had to pay parking at £10 per night No aircon in our room but open the windows and you get a breeze straight off the sea which helped immensely as we were there on the hottest day Well worth staying at for a short stay

The hotel is located on top of a cliff with beautiful views across the sea. Very quiet and peaceful location also. The English guy (can't remember his name) very friendly and helpful, clearly knows Bournemouth well so can give very helpful tips on places to visit.
The hotel is very tired with furniture and furnishings dusty and dirty in most areas. The carpet in the room was extremely stained, windows dirty and didn't shut easily. The bed was very uncomfortable with springs digging in, definitely needs replacing.
The breakfast was so bad that we left before eating on the day of check out. The cooked items were served buffet style and kept in hot plates which did not serve there purpose as every item was freezing ! Restaraunt is also very run down with dirty carpets and chairs which made the whole breakfast experience more than disappointing.
The terrace was lovely to sit out on in the sun but again very run down with no parasols and tables not cleaned.
Finally, the night porter was not professional at all. He appeared from no where looking half asleep and dressed in an orange coat and looking very disheveled on both mornings when we were up early. Did not offer to help with luggage or even hold doors open for us when checking out which would be an issue for people with mobility issues.
Overall, lovely location but would have to have a real overhaul if we were to return for the money we paid.

Parking pretty good and free! About 30 spaces but other roads around that you can park without cost, not the coast road in front though. The hotel will give you a pass for your car.
there are no rooms on the ground floor l am aware of, however the lift although a little small ( not enough room for a wheelchair) is available to use for upper floors accommodation. take my advice do not use the Seaview rooms if you have children
There are more places to choose from in the Bournemouth area.
