Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely room, spotlessly clean, nice garden area to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Staff all very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. It was midweek and out of holiday season, so the bar was dead in the evening but that wasn't an issue for us. We would definitely stay here again.

Myself and my husband have been visiting the hotel for about 15 years. Staying at different times of the year. We've stayed with friends there and also had our daughters wedding there in April 22. Every time has been amazing. The staff treat you like family and nothing is ever too much trouble. The breakfast is lovely with choices of cereals, yogurts, fruit and hot cooked breakfast. The garden is amazing and we always feel like we've had a fun and restful stay. I would thoroughly recommend The Yenton to anyone.

We had room 101 (yeah, I know), which was very spacious as was the adjoining private bathroom with bath and shower over. Very comfortable king size bed with plenty of pillows. Good bar (shuts at 10pm) and lovely garden to enjoy a drink. If you are looking for 24 hour service and a corporate feel, forget it. If you are looking for a good honest, laid back, and comfortable place to stay, then I would recommend it. All good.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend here, the lovely girl on reception went above and beyond with anything we asked, the owner was also very friendly, really good hotel for a dog friendly space, lovely garden for the pup to run around as you enjoy a drink. Will definitely return, Thankyou Adam and Robert

Had late wake here, Matt Nickie Debbie and Adam went out of their way on the day to make it a wonderful day to remember. Met up with Matt a couple of times before the day and he came up with good suggestions re food. Our 45 guests all remarked on the quantity and quality of the buffet lunch that we had, and the wine was very much more than drinkable (though what else one would do with wine I really don't know). Matt etc all scrubbed up beautifully, were on hand without being obtrusive, noticing when something needed doing.

Managed to get a last minute 'walk in' at the Yenton. Room was spotless and comfortable and young receptionist/barman super friendly and efficient. Great location 5mins from East Cliff beach and a short walk to town...will be back!

I returned to this small hotel with my wife and a friend , fifty years after spending 6 months here. The current owner, Matt, made us welcome and all the staff - Adam, Sam and Nicky - were very friendly and helpful. It is a comfortable hotel with a lovely garden to sit in and the bedrooms are pleasant. The only slightly minus side was that there does not seem to be an organised room servicing policy. Beds are not made, sheets not changed and towels not changed unless specifically requested. This is different from other hotels in similar or less expensive category. The location is excellent for access to both sea and shops and the area is quiet. Next time we come Matt perhaps you can accommodate the usual room servicing arrangements.

My family and I have held a couple of events at the Yenton over the last 18 years, including my wedding reception. This weekend we held a memorial lunch to celebrate my dads life. Matt and his team did a fantastic job. Matt was always available when I needed to ask him something in the weeks running up to it. On the day, the Yenton team made what was an emotional day, as lovely as it could be. Food and service was exemplary. The red arrows doing a fly past topped it off! Many thanks again to Matt and his staff.

Managed to get away for a few days and what a great time we had at the Yenton Hotel in Bournemouth . We were welcomed by Matthew, and what a terridic host he was for the 3 days. Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for him or his staff. We enjoyed it so much we have rebooked for a long weekend in September . Our grateful thanks to Matthew and his staff for such an enjoyable time, which was great value for money. See you soon.
