This hotel is another example of the Travelodge quality and value. Rooms are typically no frills but very clean and comfortable with great large double beds, all essential furniture, TV, kettle with tea & coffee. Bathroom was spotless and loads of hot water available. The hotel was very quiet and there is a reasonable amount of parking available behind the hotel on a first come first served basis and costing £4 for 24 hours. Location wise it's about a 15-20 minute walk into the centre, depending on where you want to go, and only 5-10 minutes from the sea front. Breakfast is excellent with unlimited choice of fruit, cereals, full English breakfast cooked options and toast. The dining area also has a bar and restaurant service.

Stayed for one night, booked on the day of arrival. The car park was full, however you can park on Derby road next to the hotel, you only have to pay for parking at the meter Monday to Friday 0900 - 1700 hrs. 1hour - 2.00, 2hours 3.40, 3hours 4.10.
We had a family room which had a king size bed and 2 single beds. The beds are a bit hard but have nice sheets and pillows. Our room had a balcony, however unfortunately the door would open only a couple of inches for fresh air and it was not possible to use the balcony. The room had a good size tv and a fan, however it was quite cool this weekend so we didn't need the fan. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The shower was nice with good pressure and nice fluffy towels. If you decide to book breakfast, be aware that the breakfast room is small and you will quite likely have to wait for a table.
The location is great, just a 10 minute walk to the beach and about half an hour's walk to the downtown area of Bournemouth.
I would be happy to stay here again at this price, we paid only 47 pounds for one night.

The hotel seemed to be taking great pains to comply with the anti-COVID requirements. There were signs everywhere reminding guests about what they should do and there were plenty of hand sanitiser dispensers in the public areas. This was all a big relief to us, as it was the first time we had stayed anywhere since January. In addition, the room was very clean and the staff did not enteric while we were there, in order to maintain social distancing.
We had a cooked breakfast each morning, which was well prepared. Because of the anti-COVID restrictions, the hotel had done away with the self service breakfast buffet. Instead, a member of staff took our entire breakfast order, including drinks, and then brought everything to our table.
The hotel is very easy to reach and is conveniently located, being about 10 minutes walk from the beach. There is also free parking available just minutes away, in residential roads on the north side of Christchurch Road.
We can definitely recommend this hotel!

Had a good two nights stay at this Travelodge. The welcome was very friendly on our arrival from the receptionist, her name I think was Iwona. She was very helpful and when I explained my wife had a knee injury she kindly changed our room with a bath to one with a walk in shower which made things much easier for us. Our room was very comfortable, good bed and spotlessly clean. The cooked buffet breakfast was good, freshly prepared and good quality. Parking is available at the rear of the hotel and in the underneath garage, cost is £4.00 per 24 hours. Location is also good, short walk to the sea front at East Cliff and Bournemouth centre is approx. 2 miles, Christchurch is approx. 4 miles. Buses stop just outside the hotel and service is good. Would definitely stay here again, good value for money.

This is the second time we have stayed in this Travelodge, the first time being with friends and this time as a family with children. It is fine for a base with friends, but we would not stay with the children (aged 7 and 4) again. The hotel is nowhere near as nice as a Premier Inn, but is of a similar price. Breakfast was nowhere near as nice as a Premier Inn and unfortunately the chef (not sure if he actually was the chef or just the person who brought out the breakfast buffet) was so awful and rude and shouted at me in front of my son and other diners for using the toaster even though there was no notice on there to say it shouldn’t be used. He put a real dampener on our stay, which was a shame as the other staff were lovely, especially the lady on the front desk who checked us in. The quality of the breakfast was ok, the hot drinks were not good though. Also, the glasses for juice were always hot, so we always had to drink warm juice. Car parking is good, there were plenty of spaces and it was good value - £8.20 for two days. The hotel is in a fairly good location – 20 minute walk to the beach and a further 5-10 minutes to the pier, gardens and shops. The room itself was fine - clean and comfy, but it was very noisy. It was at the front of the hotel on the main road above the front entrance. We could hear cars and the front door opening constantly. The room had a balcony, which you could not use for safety reasons and the doors were very old with no soundproofing, they were also very dirty on the outside, which let the whole room down. The curtains were also tatty and were not blackout. So, we wouldn’t stay here again and to be honest it was more the rudeness of the ‘chef’ than anything else that really put us off. Also, all of the hand sanitisers were empty all weekend.

From the rude hotel Manager Carlos to our dirty room
The whole experience was one of my worst..
A customer at the hotel who I was talking to about the situation though he was just racist..
He did not care one tiny bit about our situation, he stubbornly made a massive scene in the lobby for no reason
When I was talking to Central reservations to resolve the issue he was just shouting rudly through my phone at them

Eventually when our rooms were sorted I went up to find sand and dirt on the floor of the room and bathroom,
I went down right away and they said we can't switch rooms due to covid but will have cleaning service come up right away
After around 45 min we gave up and left and went to stay in the hilton
Had the most beautiful night in a nice clean customer friendly hotel

Travelodge in the hotel refused to refund the room, I didnt start a whole argument as I know that the poor lady behind the desk cant help with that ..
But they rly have no standard there

I think they look for employees who are are rude and arrogant

Although saying that .. i only have spoke to 3 staff members during the hour I was there

The only shame was that the travelodge was next to the site we were working on, but leaving that hotel was the smartest thing I did
And since I have a recording of me telling them just after check in that the room wasn't cleaned yet and they didn't resolve, the credit card company will resolve the refund

From the staff to the dirty room we were put in, nothing ticked our boxes

We don't mind a basic hotel and especially for the more basic price but oh my god was I shocked by the experience we had there.

Will never book this hotel again in my life

I though that out here near the sea, the mannerism and attitude was calmer and more polite but i guess that's not everywhere

I wouldn't let this guy carlos manage toilet cleaning let alone run a hotel

When someone comes in with a bag on there shoulder and just having had a long journey dont be a peice of crap and start being rude and arrogant

I write this in the hope that Travelodge do something about this and make sure this guys doesn't hurt your other customers the same way

Great hotel for our few days away. Clean, tidy and comfortable. The room accommodated myself, my teenage son and disabled, elderly mother. Although our room was on the second floor the reception staff did offer to find us a ground floor room but we were right beside the lift that went straight to the car park. As my Mother was being left alone in the room one evening the staff took emergency details and gave us a special alarm in case of a fire. Everyone was very helpful. This hotel was 10 minutes walk from where my Son was seeing a band play so ideal location for us. Very reasonably priced.

We came to Bournemouth for a weekend with my 10 month old daughter. As an employee of Travelodge myself, I always go into our hotels with very high expectations, and this hotel was great! Lovely clean rooms and the corridors nice and tidy. The only faults I could find were cobwebs around the window (but thats me being picky) and both lifts were filthy :( they had been sprayed to smell nice but definitely need a good clean!

Parking is a nightmare if you arrive late. We arrived around 6pm on friday and I ended up scraping my car on a wall due to the VERY tight spaces and I have a small car. Parking is £4 for 24 hours which is reasonable. There is on street parking but its expensive and limited.

I phoned two days prior to ask for a travel cot to be put in the room, I was advised it's a first come first served basis and may not be able to get one. When we arrived there wasn't one so I went to reception to request one. The manager told me he had spoken to me and that he had looked everywhere for one but there wasn't one, explaining that they only have 6!! I said that's fine but could I please have a spare duvet to lay my daughter, on then as she can't go on the truckle beds. They said yes and the receptionist took me to get one. On opening the linen room door we saw there was a travel cot right there, which she let me have. Obviously I was over the moon but it did make me question the manager's efforts to help me with this matter and whether he did look at all. Also if there are only 6 for a 4 floor hotel that needs rectifying rapidly, especially during summer season.

Overall it was a fabulous stay! Lovely clean hotel with friendly staff. I would definitely recommend and will be going back again.

For a four day break, which happened to bean absolute scorched onthe hottest weekend of the year, we booked into the Travelodge as a base to visit the area and family. I confess that years ago I had a poor Travelodge experience but this one could not have been further from that. Our room was huge and for my wife who is a cleanliness freak, it was spotlessly clean. Obviously they were taking extra steps due to Covid but the effort paid off. It was also nice to find a hotel room in this price range that had bath not just a shower. I think the staff said there are baths in all rooms in 3 of the 4 floors.
Whenever we spoke to the staff they were extremely helpful and friendly and were obviously working some pretty long shifts as we seemed to see the same ones morning and evening. Although breakfast is available we didnt try it but plenty of people did.
As we knew it was going to be a hot weekend we took a fan with us. There was also a fan in the room which was definitely needed. There is no air conditioning.
This is a dog friendly hotel and we were so impressed that during our stay we booked another weekend with the dog in October when hopefully it wont be so hot.
If you are going to Bournemouth or the surrounding area this is a great straightforward hotel with everything you need for a good nights sleep.

This year in August 2022 me and my family went to this Travelodge hotel we had been there previously and there was a lot of things that could have improved. We went back there for 5 days and had a great experience, the room was cleaned nicely with spare pillows, quilts and towels. There is an average sized tv, a nice desk and chair to make coffee and chill out there. The family room although there is four beds the room had quite a lot of space for moving about. The bathroom had improved a lot the shower was easier to control if you ask how it worked, there was shampoo and body wash in a soap dispenser on the side of the wall in the shower which surprisingly worked rather well, overall the room was rather pleasant to stay in for a few days.
we had put the “please top me up” sign put on the door to get fresh towels, a new bin liner and fresh bed sheets, this unfortunately didn’t happen the first time we walked in at the end of the day and nothing was changed. Although we were disappointed the next day they gave us fresh towels and a new bin liner.
Food:
The breakfast in the morning is incredible it’s an all you can eat and the food is delicious at the breakfast, they regularly top up as well so you don’t have to wait long if the thing you want has ran out.
Sadly the dinner is not so good we never got to try the food because the service wasn’t great. There was only two other families in the room and they told us it would usually take 5mins to make (that makes me assume it’s frozen or microwave food which isn’t as nice as fresh) but they said they have other orders so it will take longer, we ended up leaving and going somewhere else.
Staff:
The staff are what make this hotel so nice, the managers are so lovely and make the place so peaceful and happy! Whenever you make a request or need more milk or tea bags for your room they will serve you right away, they are so nice and put the biggest smile on my face!

Not only are the staff nice, but the people around you are so kind and friendly, we met loads of lovely new people.

I would recommend going to this Travelodge hotel for a few nights to get away with friends family or even as sometime alone.
