Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely guesthouse, staff so welcoming and everywhere was clean and well decorated. We stayed in room 8 which was a lovely big room with a stunning bathroom. We got there early so managed to park as not many spaces but there is availability nearby aswell. Breakfast was really good, we will be looking to return later in the year.

Little treasure this hotel shame we only had one night ... so clean everything you could want need.. staff lovely... breakfast service and food 👍 perfect ... only thing I would ask for is frosted glass covering on bathroom window so that you can still have natural light coming in bathroom that's all👍we will be back in the future 😊

The Balincourt guesthouse with excellent customer service. We have going to Bournemouth for many years and have always enjoyed our stay at the Balincourt. The rooms are cosy and clean. The breakfast is tasty and just right. It also has free parking and many hotels in Bournemouth charge for parking which really bumps up the cost of your stay. Harps the host and owner is personable, she takes time out to get to know the guest giving you that feel that your stay is special. We would recommend people to stay at Balincourt guesthouse.

Great breakfast with proper table linen and china. Lovely staff. It has an excellent location within easy walking distance of the centres of Bournemouth and Boscombe. A bus stop nearby and very frequent services give easy access to places further afield. The guest house is very clean and deserving its good reviews.

Unfortunately we had to leave after one night due to family illness and owners were understanding thank you Sadly the description online didn’t live up to expectations Deluxe room was basic and cheaply decorated Our requested quiet room wasn’t as guests overhead sounded like a stampede of elephants Not particularly their fault as floorboards creaky etc Breakfast was tasty but one vegan sausage in comparison to full breakfast with bacon eggs sausage etc was poor Issue with sink plunger getting stuck so unable to use sink. Next day I was told to fiddle with it to release it We did for 30 minutes but should a guest have to ?! Location is on a very busy road very close to not pleasant areas of Bournemouth- sadly the area in general is very run down and sad now compared to last visit 4 years ago

We were in Room 1 which was very nice but cold. The shower room is very small and it was impossible to get the shower to a reasonably warm temperature. Breakfast, we waited 30 minutes from order to getting a cooked meal, however it was a good breakfast. We were a bit disappointed that you are not allowed to help yourself to the fruit, yoghurts, cereal and croissants as the menu stated in bold that it was service only, Parking is limited but they found us a place next door. Disappointed to find only one small shower get to be dived between the two of us, and why three mints for two people.

Found this lovely hotel online. It was our Golden Wedding Anniversary weekend and we were made very welcome as soon as we arrived. We had a deluxe room which was a big room with a wet room. Lovely decor and a very comfy bed with great pillows. Only downside was the tiny stairs up the second staircase, it was okay for us but probably not ideal for someone with mobility issues but I am sure the rooms on the lower floors would be just as lovely. Breakfast was excellent and such a selection all served to your table and piping hot. The scrambled egg was so fluffy. The tables had beautiful lace table cloths and bone china cups and saucers and plates. You have to select a time for breakfast so it is all cooked to order although you don’t have to wait too long and you have cereals, fruit, yoghurts and toast to be getting on with. The waitress was lovely very friendly and helpful. The dining room is very bright with beautiful mirrors all around on the walls. It is all individual tables and your room number is your table number. The big bonus is that there is free parking and with a bus stop opposite we didn’t use the car at all during our stay. The bus service is amazing and you don’t have to wait many minutes for a bus. The hotel is not far from Boscombe pier probably 10-15 minute walk and then you can walk to Bournemouth pier along the beach road. We didn’t use the bar or lounge but they looked very welcoming. Thank you all at Balincourt for making our special weekend “special” and also for delivering our Champayne a pressie from our son and family. We will be back. A really special place.

Excellent and most comfortable hotel a bit off centre (which is nice) and closed to the beach (which is perfect). We were welcome warmly by the receptionist who was kind and helpful. The breakfast is magnificent! Served on table. There is a free parking with limited spots (first come - first served). The room was quite big, full of light and comfy. My only regret is that we were there for only one night! Fred
