Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So the laguna. I needed to be in dorset the next day so booked for one night on a friday. It was cheap, £47 for the night. I wasnt expecting epic, but clean and functional i'd hoped for and what previous reviews had suggested. In reality the place was really average for the deccor, as you can see from the photos nothing matched and a lot of the furniture was from a bygone era. The carpet had 2 vividly different patterns to it within the bedroom. The deccor of communal areas could do with an update and the foyer smell wasnt great. The layout made absolutley no sense....see photo. Can the rooms not just be renumbered? Every shade of the rainbow seemed to be used and nothing ever matched. Once I got to 4 hairs i stopped counting and decided not to use the shower. The place just didnt feel very clean. The toilet wobbled a lot as the wood holding it in position had failed. The bed was clean but I cant say the magnoila sheets with blue cover at the end didnt help. This hotel has real potential i mean it has a pool and is in a stunning town, but the deccor, 50 shades of cack in respects of colour of everything and just lack of care really just failed the place.

We are here now . Stayed one night ref attending a funeral. It is absolutely spotless. And I should know because I was professional cleaner . It's not dated its traditional. It is freshly decorated. The bed linen is a lovely quality. The bed and pillows were good. The breakfast was perfect. Had a lovely swim in the indoor pool. We would definitely use the hotel again. The staff are so friendly. Thank you so much to the gentleman on reception for opening a lounge for us to wait in until its time to go to the funeral, after I paid stay has ended.

Very nice. Check-in was super friendly and hassle free. Room was lovely and absolutely spotless. Complimentary Towels and tea and coffee were supplied. Hotel has a lot to offer and I would recommend 100% I paid £34 for the night and couldn't fault the place.

Staff were very friendly & It is very much a budget hotel. The room I stayed In was very tired looking. The carpet should have been replaced years ago, the bath with shower over was very tired looking too. The taps were difficult to turn off & a light over the wash basin didn't work (bulb blown)Doesn't anybody check these things? Having said all that the room rate was £63.00 per night, so you aren't going to get the Ritz for that. It did have tea/coffee making facilities & the room was clean. Breakfast was an extra £9.00 which was filling but plastic white bread & budget sausage, but It Is what It Is & suited my needs for that price.

I have rated this hotel 3 stars instead of 2 but only because it was clean. The room was very basic with mismatched furniture. The mattress was comfortable but the bedding was terrible. A rough and scratchy blanket under a synthetic bedspread. On the plus side the sheets were clean. The bedding did not allow for a cosy and comfortable nights sleep. The tea and coffee facilities were of the cheapest quality and we found them undrinkable. Our stay was functional but not especially comfortable. We would be highly unlikely to return, however, the lady on reception was very friendly.

Probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. No phone in the room. No toilettes except an extremely small bar of soap. The screen on my Laptop is bigger than the TV screen. Noisy hallways. Floors creek. The room above, it seemed that the person in it was very large, the noise the floor made was terrible. No hot water one morning. Called the front desk, on my cell, and they didn't know anything about it. No one else had complained. Said it would take 15 minutes to fix! NOT! I basically had to go out for the day with no shower and a cold shave! I did get a 25 pound refund on my credit card for no hot water. There was a gap between the door and the frame, let light into the room at night. Went to the bar one night to get some ice and was told it would be 1 pound for a pint of ice!! Come on, really! She didn't charge me. The key to the room was an old skeleton key. Not very safe! The best part of the stay was the nice young waiter in the dinning room for breakfast. Tall red headed young man, named Ollie. Extremely friendly, polite and good at his job! Well done Ollie! The breakfast both mornings was good! Unfortunately a friend who lives in Bournemouth recommend the hotel. He felt bad about my experience.

Cheap Nights stay, can’t complain for what I paid, clean sheets, clean towels, basic room, water was very hot, takes a bit of time to set the shower. Free parking, smaller beds. Few places within walking distance. They have a pool but did not use it.

Awful hotel, extremely dated and smelt bad. No shower. Bedding was dirty and damaged. Pillows extremely uncomfortable and ridiculously heavy (weird). Mattress was also uncomfortable. Facilities in room were very poor. While place needs revamping. Wasn’t well cleaned, marks all over the room and bathroom. Carpet so thin you could feel the floor boards. Wouldn’t return. However location great and staff were nice.

Worse hotel we have ever stayed at. Couldn’t get anything else for the air show, so we decided to look beond the bad reviews and give it a try. The room was in an annex. It was like an old people’s home. We couldn’t wait to get out this morning. The smell of mould was so overpowering it gave my wife a sore throat and trouble in breathing. We were on the ground floor so didn’t want to sleep with the windows open. Surely nowadays quilts are are standard than dirty yellow sheets and filthy blankets. The only thing I can say are the towels looked quite new. So we led them on the bed and covered ourselves with our own towels rather than get into bed. Didn’t bare walk on the carpet without shoes. Very very dated and filthy. There was a child’s sock which had clearly been there for sometime. Stains on the units and a slug crawling up the bathroom wall. We didn’t shower as it was filthy, so decided to just go home. Didn’t even want to use the pool as we were just so put off. DO NOT GO THERE!!!! At one point we were thinking of sleeping in the car..
