Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent, second time I have been here. Here for birthday celebrations for two nights. Looked after by Maxine on arrival and sorted us out a bottle of Prosecco for the room. Room very spacious with bath in the bedroom and large shower room. Tastefully done. Thank you so much for a memorable couple of nights.

The property was easily accessed. Parking was good and free Reception we had at arrival was very welcoming and attentive. The hall/lobby to the rooms were beautifully decorated and easily managed. Bedroom was very impressive and bathroom clean and warm everything was spotless. All the facilities offered were there and in working order. Breakfast was set in a lovey room looking out onto the gardens and staffed appropriately, the breakfast itself was very good with a selection of full English /Smoked salmon and scrambled egg plus other meals on offer, we ate the 3 mentioned above. The bar was quiet while we were there but we did have a drink. Overall this was an excellent place to stay and will certainly return in the future.

High quality luxury bed and breakfast which has clearly undergone an expensive refurbishment throughout. Good value for money. Our room (Gold Cup) was very well appointed and nicely furnished the king sized bed extremely comfortable. Good quality cooked breakfast choices. Staff friendly and accommodating. 10am checkout is considered early as we had booked a 9am breakfast and didn't want to feel rushed. However receptionist said not to worry and there would be no late checkout cost. We were also allowed to leave our car at the hotel whilst we enjoyed a seafront walk to Boscombe on the morning of departure. Whether this flexibility would have applied in high season I cannot say. As regards location we enjoy walking so a 30 minute seafront stroll to either Bournemouth or Boscombe was not a problem. No evening meals are available so this needs to be considered if eating out and either a short car journey or taxi ride will be preferred by less mobile guests.

We cannot fault this hotel. The decor throughout is luxurious (see pics). The staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room (Chepstow) was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent, especially the freshly cooked part. The hotel is in a quiet area, only a short drive into the town centre. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous interior and very helpful friendly staff. Delicious plentiful breakfast. Super room, clean, comfy and luxurious. Easy free parking, walked to the town in 20 mins. Check in and out procedure unrushed and smooth. Would love to visit again one day.

With an imminent heatwave forecast we booked a three night stay at short notice. On arrival we were shown to our room - York - on the second floor. The bedroom was reasonably sized with a walk in wardrobe and a spacious bathroom with spa bath and separate shower. All very well presented, as were the communal rooms. There was plenty of choice for breakfast, and it was a pleasure to get food cooked to order rather than helping ourselves to half warm food as at so many hotels. Contrary to information displayed breakfasts were served from 8.00, not 8.30. Not sure if this is a permanent change, but certainly popular with guests as the dining room was almost full by 8.15 each day. We didn’t hear any plumbing noises, nor any indiscreet neighbourly noises, although there wasn’t any guest room immediately adjacent ours. The latest check out time of 10.00 didn’t trouble us, although in our experience 11.00 is more usual All in all a very enjoyable stay.

We arrived in Bournemouth with nothing booked so pulled over and browsed online. Options were limited but this guesthouse stood out. They only had one double room left so we went ahead and booked! Away from the hustle & bustle of the main town centre/beach they are situated on a quiet residential street and have onsite parking for approx 10 cars. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who checked us in and showed us around the various communal areas before taking us up to our room. The room was small but very well appointed and ideal for a single night’s stay. The bed was comfy & the bathroom was spotless with various toiletries included. A nice selection of Tea & coffee making facilities were also included as well as free wifi. The receptionist was very helpful when asked about local restaurants for dinner & even provided us with a list & directions. We’re early risers and were greeted by a bright, bubbly member of staff in the dining room. The breakfast included was excellent, a great selection of fruits, cereals & fresh pastries followed by a full english. Would stay again and perhaps try one of the larger rooms next time!

I wanted to spend one night at this hotel as I was invited to a birthday party last saturday. It took 3.5hrs to drive from london (due to bank holiday) arriving at the hotel at 2pm. Only to find out the doors were locked. Waited in the car until I saw some movement and the lady said I could have a coffee as the check in was at 3pm!!!!! Now guess what time check out was : 10am!!!! I have travelled a lot and have never seen anything like it. Latest time for b/fast was 9.30am (check out at 10am!) How does it take 5 hrs to get a room ready? Will not come back
