We went to the fox last Sunday for my Dad's Birthday, and it was lovely as always. I was worried as they were shutting the next day for a refurb, but everything was as fantastic as always, Friendly, helpful staff, piping hot & very yummy food & very reasonable pricing. I can't wait to go back after the refurb to...

Great service and helpful staff at this very dog friendly pub, with an overall warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food is excellent. Apparently the owner has only recently taken over and is due to shut for refurbishment in February. Will definitely be back when they re-open. Highly recommended.

Despite them having no record of our booking our meal started well enough. Luckily they had space and asked us to wait in the bar while they got our table ready and then apologised for the wait. After we sat down the waitress was very friendly and helpful. However after we received our carvery tokens the service seemed to disappear....

Used to be a favourite until the new management took over. I'll keep it simple so I can erase it from my mind quicker! The landlord is a vile individual who thinks nothing of making slimy innapropriate remarks about his paying female customers. An absolute disgrace. The staff sneer and glare and are often talking blatantly about customers in a...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back again. Ideally situated for the jurassic coast. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff in the bar and restaurant were attentive and friendly. All in all a very positive experience.

I went into The Fox pub in Ansty, Dorset, with my family for a Sunday carvery. I had booked the table two weeks in advance. On arriving, the staff were very helpful. They showed us to the table and we confirmed we were all choosing the carvery. After getting our food from the carvery it was noticed that the meat...

Myself, my wife and our dog booked to stay here for a weekend break. We were given a warm greeting by the staff but had to go for a short walk as we had arrived 20 minutes before the 2pm booking in time and our room wasn't ready. We came back at around 14.30 and went to the room as...

We had a nice relaxing time, the Inn needs some TLC and updating. The bedroom walls are paper thin, it was so annoying to hear the man next door snoring all night! Lovely location and ideal for a short break.

11 of us went here for a Sunday carvery to celebrate a birthday. Lovely table in the garden room. Service excellent and quick. Carvery meat was melt in the mouth. Able to have a bit of 4 meats, beef, Turkey, pork and gammon. Loads of vegetables and potatoes as well as massive Yorkshire puddings. First class food and service in...
