We stayed for only 1 night but we would have loved to have stayed longer. They were great! The room was furnished very tastefully, location is excellent and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend The Casterbridge!

Clean and very comfortable rooms. Hospitality and food excellent. Couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable stay. Hosts were very helpful in returning toiletries which were left behind. Much appreciated! Will be back.

A small and cosy hotel with lovely rooms designed with much care. The rooms are tidy and spotless. Marvelous service and superb homemade breakfast. Short distance to city center, museums and restaurants.

Are dogs allowe? We have two small elderly dogs who always travel with us.

Do they serve evening meals?
Hi We do not serve evening meals. We did for a two year period a couple of years ago have a former "Master chef" winner here, but no longer. Plenty of options nearby. Kind regards Monica

Where do I park?
We have limited parking nearby, if all used up next to is a public car park for £2.60 for three hours and free overnight, both two minutes walk. We hope this helps Melvin

"Front rooms are on the high street with traffic noise, but ours was double-glazed so fairly quiet if you don't need to open the window."
"Rooms at rear of building likely to be quieter than front rooms."
"Rooms facing the street may be slightly noisier if your window is open."
"Rooms facing street are noisy if window is open. The four poster bed in one of the rooms is a double and not suitable if you are tall"
"We were in Room 4 and it was quiet and beautifully decorated."
