What a beautiful period property with immaculate gardens, including a swimming pool and tennis court which guests can enjoy the use of. We received a warm welcomed by Amanda who gave us a couple of recommendations for dinner before we went up to our room to freshen up.
We stayed in Room 1, which was a very comfortable and large double aspect room furnished with a couple of small arm chairs with side table, a large comfortable bed and a desk, there was a flat screen TV and a plentiful supply of complimentary teas, coffee and hot chocolate and a couple of bottles of water. There were a good number of plugs including on both sides of the bed - always useful for charging phones etc.
The spotlessly clean ensuite bathroom was well fitted (shower over bath) which enjoyed good natural light from a large window with a views out over fields and a nice selection of complimentary toiletries.
Our room and public areas of the property were exceptionally clean and offered hand sanitiser at the entrance porch and the room where breakfast was served. Free wifi was available and worked well and guests also had the use of a large sitting room on the ground floor. There is plenty of free parking for guests.
After a good nights sleep breakfast was served in a bright room overlooking the garden and was cooked to perfection, smashed avocado and poached eggs and a full english breakfast, in both cases eggs were perfect.
The property is a short drive into Dorchester and is well located to visit the town and surrounding areas of interest. Would have no hesitation in recommending this very comfortable and welcoming B&B. Many thanks to Amanda and her team.

We stayed at Little Court for four nights at the end of August and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Amanda made us feel very welcome and the safety measures were unobtrusive. Breakfast was varied and copious - a great way to start a day's exploring.
We splashed out and booked the room with the four poster - a lovely double aspect room, with plenty of space.
We used the pool a lot and if the weather had been better it would have been great to find a quiet spot in the large garden to read, but wind and rain prevented this!
We shall certainly return to Little Court next time we venture down to Dorset

Little Court is a charming Edwardian house, nestled in the folds of the Dorset landscape. The decor is elegant and appropriate to its Edwardian heritage, but also fabulously comfortable and welcoming. Our room was delightful, with leaded glass windows, a king sized bed, fresh, warm towels, full tea/coffee facilities and some sweet biscuity treats. Everything, including the well equipped bath/shower room was spotlessly clean. We would have stayed for breakfast, but had to get back on the road to our next destination. Judging by the standard of everything else, I'm sure we missed something amazing. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful house and grounds with a lovely heated pool and we were fortunate to be able to able to use a couple of the wooden sun loungers, however due to no cushions they were so uncomfortable, we had to lay on the grass instead which also wasn't too comfortable, This was a massive shame, seeing as the pool and loungers we saw in the photos online were one of the main reasons for booking this accommodation.
The host greeted us and was really kind and helpful. We did realise she also had her family staying, so it did feel a bit like we were intruding around by the pool.
We realise its an old manor house, but decor the inside is still quite dated, plus our room was quite small for the price.
The worst part was the lack of sleep, this was mainly due to the noise from what sounded like a boiler that went on until 1am, this followed by the thinnest curtains which let in every bit of light at 4am. So sadly we wouldn't return here for these reasons. We did opt for the breakfast that was lovely, at a cost of £10 each and the lady that serves you is very pleasant and attentive.

This is a lovely privately owned property. Before I arrived, I read a few reviews. One mentioned room 5 was noisy due to the boiler. Supprise Supprise I got room 5. The room and bathroom itself were nice, but it felt like the water tank was above the room. You could hear it always re filling and during the night a constant drip. Luckily for me, it rained during the night, so the sound of the rain lulled me to sleep and hid the dripping sounds above my head.
Breakfast was great. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Just try and avoid room 5.

Stayed for a week with the family and was very pleased with our accommodation. The rooms we booked were clean and spacious. Bathrooms were also lovely.
The property was beautiful and came with a pool that kept the kids occupied, coupled with the tennis court that gave us some space.
Amanda and team were great and more than helpful with our requests.
Highly recommended
Things I would improve: shower water pressure and Wi-Fi.

We were three friends on bikes and had a great time at Little Court. The pool and gardens are absolutely lovely and the rooms very elegant and comfortable. Amanda and the staff really looked after us, including locking our bikes away carefully.

Great couple of nights. Thank you
Amanda. Really good breakfast. Your property is amazing. Well prepared to deal with COVID precautions. We loved the the pool and the kids had a great time playing with your doggie Basil.

My husband and I had a great overnight stay at this lovely B & B! Thanks to Amanda and her team. The property is stunning, and has kept all its old charm. We loved it! We played some tennis in the gardens, it’s not flowering yet but everything seems to be there, promising to bloom very soon, we imagine it’s stunning in the spring and summer when everything is blossoming. There’s also a nice looking swimming pool - a bit too cold right now, and obviously closed for the winter, we were sure it would be amazing to be back here in the spring/summer. Great cooked and continental breakfast, We would most definitely stay here again!!

What a little gem of place. We found Little Court when surfing the net as the previous place we had stayed at when visiting Dorchester couldn’t accommodate us. What a piece of luck. This is a great location. Room was spacious, host was very friendly, breakfast was just right. The pool was very welcoming after a days exploring. Would we stay again, yes we would. Well worth the money. Only down side were the pillows., probably perfect for others - one was not enough and 2 was too much. That’s just personal choice and will not affect our returning.
