We spent a weekend as a family of 15 in Doles Ash Farm Cottages. We had Harvester (dog friendly), Drakes, Groom and Huntsman. The space was amazing everything was spotless, well equipped and well thought out to cater for every need. We had the Groom and Huntsman as interconnecting which allowed the whole family to have meals together. Our dog a westie, Betty was only allowed in Harvester but she happily sat on the verandah outside Groom and Huntsman when we were together. It is central to so many beautiful areas. We spent time on Weymouth Beach, Durdle Door as well as walking round the amazing grounds. The highlight for the children was the swimming pool and games room. The children, 9, 7, 4 (and a 2 month old baby) cannot wait to return. Cannot recommend the space and the Owners highly enough.…
Our stay has been absolutely brilliant accommodation is spotlessly clean with plenty of room for four adults to stay comfortably in the huntsman cottage .location is excellent for visiting tourist attractions that are round and about only short drives to get to most of them, swimming pool is lovely too, owners are very friendly and helpful , I would highly recommend a stay here you won’t be disappointed
Couldn’t recommend this place more, we had 3 cottages for our family over a long weekend. The pool and games room were perfect for our family, and the outside space was lovely when the sun did shine! We have already booked to come back next year!!
We recently stayed in the Stables, at Doles Ash Farm and oh my goodness it was just wonderful. We received a warm welcome on arrival and found the place to be spotless and so well thought out. The beds were all so comfortable and the cottage well equipped with everything we needed. The farm is remote enough to be peaceful and at the same time near enough to anything we wanted to do during the day. The log burner was lovely and cozy during a week when the weather wasn't the warmest. The pool is lovely, again very clean and warm and the booking system allowed us to book our slots and have the pool to ourselves. Our 3 children all had a wonderful time making memories here. For the Stables cottage the Saturday to Saturday booking worked perfectly for us around school and work, it is great that there are options for Friday to Friday in some properties on the farm and Saturday to Saturday in others. We highly recommend Doles Ash Farm and hope to return ourselves.…
I was going to title this review "what a find" but it seemed the reviewer below beat me to it! Indeed Doles Ash Farm Cottages are a hidden gem whatever time of year you visit. Set in peaceful countryside, you really can relax and unwind when you arrive. We stayed in the Orchard cottage-very well equip and immaculately clean. We did not find it was short of anything we needed, especially in the kitchen and with a little one (cot, highchair and baby plates etc) and a dog (dog towel, bowls can be provided). Staying in February you might be considered about being cold but the heating was adequate and you can always put the log burner on to add extra coziness. The pool was a real treat and was warm enough to take a 6 month old in. Although we didn't use the games room-it looked perfect for those with children for a rainy day (table tennis, pool table, loads of boardgames, DVDs and toys). The farm animals were fun to watch from the cottage-especially the goats and alpacas. The location allowed us to reach many of the walks we wanted to (Evershot, Cerne, Lulworth, Tyneham, Swanage) but equally there are many surrounding footpaths and bridleways straight from the cottages. We only ate out once at the Thimble Inn-excellent staff, food and atmosphere-recommend booking as is popular Sam was exceptionally helpful from booking and all the way through our stay. Any query was answered quickly and with care. Thank you for making our first break with a little one hassle free and a real treat.…
