We stayed for 2 nights and received a very warm welcome. The facilities were very clean, the room well decorated and the beds comfortable. The the shower was a generous size. The refreshment tray in the bedroom was well stocked and fresh milk was supplied as needed.
The dining room was comfortable and welcoming with a very good choice of breakfast items. The "full English breakfast" set us up for the day. The off-road parking was also for us an important and useful feature. It was a short walk, approximately 10 minutes, to the High Street, Gold Hill and many buildings of historical interest.
We won't hesitate to book again when we are visiting the area.

We arrived at lunchtime several hours prior to check in, and Ian not only kindly let us park our car he told us our room was ready so we could drop our bags and have a cup of tea after our drive. The room was lovely , airy and spacious with a well stocked tea tray. Ian was very friendly and welcoming, and gave us lots of information on the area.
The bathroom was cosy and modern , with a great shower and toiletries provided. The bed was big and very comfy. The only potential downside could have been fron being next to a busy road , which was noisy , but the double glazing was so good we slept like logs.

Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices of fruit yogurt etc , and a delicious full English, served byDiane , who was efficient and friendly with all the guests.

Shaftesbury itself is lovely , we had great walks , and superb food.
All in all a great place to stay , and we would thoroughly recommend Holbrook to anyone.
Thanks Ian and Diane, we'll be back.

Booked into here for four nights as we are looking to move to the area. Can’t give high enough praise. Our room was clean, warm & comfortable. The bathroom was stocked with all the toiletries we needed. The tea tray had everything we needed.

The hotel is situated on a busy road so our hosts had thoughtfully provided earplugs. These weren’t needed as the double glazing kept the noise out.

Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We could help ourself to fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal and juice. Full English breakfast was cooked to order and nothing was too much trouble. Nice to see porridge & kippers on the menu too.

All in all a very enjoyable stay. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly. They were interest in why we were in Shaftesbury and we welcomed all their knowledge and information of the area.

We’d love to stay with them again and probably will when we return to the area.

Booked very last minute and was lucky to get a room as it was a cancellation, so meant to be!

Very easy to find and conveniently located, short walk into Shaftsbury which is an beautiful old town and well worth a trip into to walk around the old streets.

I stayed for the Great Dorst Steam Fair and it is perfectly situated for the very short commute.

Greeting was warm and friendly from the host. Room was lovely and clean with a good size bathroom and lovely big shower. Complimentary Wi-Fi and tea, coffee and biscuits provided in the room. Little TV to keep you occupied.

Breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh to order. Fresh pot of coffee per person, fresh orange juice. Lovely choice of fresh fruit and yogurt. I went for the full English, which had a good choice of how I wanted my eggs which I like. It was all perfect.

I highly recommend Holbrook Bed and Breakfast, it's a warm and friendly place well worth the stay.

This is bit of an odd one as after our stay when my wife and I had left the guest house heading back to London and discussing our stay it was only when we drove passed Stonehenge we both suddenly realised what we had liked and why we had such a good time,

its like being at say University and you have gone home for the weekend, your back in your own bedroom with all the comforts that you have missed and then in the morning the home made cooked breakfast and the comfort you have felt and missed that's the best way to explain the stay, the hosts are brilliant and nothing is to much trouble for them, the breakfast is certainly something special and kippers and poached eggs something I haven't had for years was very enjoyable, and brought back fond memories of my grandmother. My wife had porridge and a full English which she thoroughly enjoyed and again nothing was a problem.

The morning banter with the hosts and another guest during breakfast again made breakfast even more enjoyable as it created the atmosphere of being at a family breakfast and you were at home

and thank you we had a great stay and in the words of Arnie "We will be back" and Wifi good fast connection

Look forward to seeing you both soon

Although this Bed and Breakfast is on the A 350 it is back from the road, and in our room there was no road noise. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, the shower clean and the water hot, and breakfast was excellent. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Shaftesbury this is friendly and very reasonably priced.

I was not planning on staying in Shaftesbury but due to some car trouble I was forced to. With all the the hotels booked I stayed at Holbrook B&B. I am glad I did. First, the owners were so accommodating and helpful. They noticed I was a little upset due to my car trouble and gave me great recommendations for a place to eat and have a beer to help calm me down a bit. When I got back they had my room ready. It was very clean, had its own bathroom and all I needed to have a restful night. When I got up and went down stairs for breakfast I was blown away at the English breakfast they served. Eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, hashbrown, juice, cofee/tea. The owners came in and we had a great conversation about where I was from and family. I really appreciated them making me feel so welcome!

I stayed one night at Holbrook B&B and had a wonderful stay.
The room while small was extremely comfortable and the bed was the best I had in time in the UK. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, but not intrusive. Breakfast was delicious and communal breakfast room made for good company and conversation. The host were also very helpful regarding places to visit and eat in town. Would stay again!

Fantastic B and B, comfy bed, decent sized shower, good amenities in the room, fresh milk was a nice touch. Really tasty breakfast, with fresh fruit and yogurt, big range of cereals and superbly cooked full English, and great coffee.
The hosts Diane and Ian are lovely and made us feel really welcome. Would definitely recommend this gem of a B and B.

I stayed for one night having been unsuccessful in finding accomodation in Wincanton so coming to Shaftesbury was a small diversion but what a find !
My room was cosy and had everything I needed. The hosts were friendly and caring.
The breakfast was excellent and included fresh fruit.
The only downside was noise from the busy road outside but this quietened down during the evening .
Parking very adequate and an easy walk into the historic town.
