BLACK PIG RETREATS GLAMPING

We absolutely loved our stay at Black Pig retreats. We stayed in the Gascon safari tent, which was very comfortable, and cosy once we'd stoked up the impressive wood-burning stove! It was very peaceful, and the surroundings are beautiful. The boys loved being able to run off to explore the fields and visit the pigs. There is a beautiful Woodland Trust wood on the edges of the farm. Lots of National Trust & English Heritage properties to visit nearby, and the coast is only an hour away. Carolyn & Clive were very friendly and helpful. Good local amenities (you can even order pizza from the Family Kebab & Pizza House!) We didn't eat out anywhere due to Covid, but there looked to be plenty of pubs around. Looking forward to a return visit.

Simply Perfect

My 3 children and myself have just stayed at BPR for the second time, we were in one of the African Safari tents. Very luxurious, loved sitting outside or the raised deck, in the sun, just drinking in the gorgeous surroundings. Night time is magical, Owls hooting up and down the valley. No light pollution, wonderful to sit out on a clear night and Star Watch, we spotted the ISS twice A perfect antidote to these Covid times. My only suggestion to make a great place even better, wood fired Hot Tubs !!! We plan on another visit next year

Lovely relaxing break

We just stayed for 3 nights in the Murciano glamping tent. We are a family of 2 adults, 2 children (10y and 12y) and 1 dog. We all had a great time, the accomodation is very nice, kitchen is very good with everything you need, beds comfy and the wood burning stove kept us warm when it was pretty wet and wild outside. Perfect for dogs, a huge fenced in field to run around in. Kids loved running around in the field and we did a couple of walks, one to the pub for lunch which took us 45mins through the fields, was perfect. A perfect family holiday, thanks.

Wonderful, cannot wait to return!

We have spent the BEST three nights at Black Pig Retreats. We were two couples and two chihuahuas staying in one of the beautiful Safari Tents. Everything was set up perfectly and the hosts have nailed the covid safe 'hosting from a distance'. We felt both looked after, and left alone to enjoy our stay. Every little detail has been thought of. The beds are extremely comfortable, the views spectacular and the all important shower and bathroom were just perfect. It was a very relaxing experience and we can't wait to return. I highly recommend having a go a cooking over the fire pit 😃. Thank you very much for our stay!

Fantastic unique holiday

We stayed at Black Pig for 4 days - we loved it. We have 3 young children and they thought it was the most fun place to holiday, that they had ever been too. Wonderful views, great things to explore, unique (and extremely comfortable - very much on the glamourous end of glamping!) accomodation, evenings spend outside sitting by the fire....whats not to love?! Highly recommended.
