I booked exclusive use of Caalm camp with some excitement and trepidation to share my 28 friends on my birthday. Our stay more than exceeded my expectations. Mark couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful with my many requirements and requests. He even stayed out in the cold cooking us all pizzas in the wood fired oven which were delicious!...

We stayed for a couple of nights in August and had a fantastic time. It was a real escape and we did not want to leave. This was a great alternative to camping as we ate outside, slept under the stars and woke to views of countryside and cows BUT we had the luxury of our own shower room with...

Our visit in July was our first stay in a yurt and we loved it. The whole place is so peaceful and relaxing, with a lovely comfy bed, and great private bathroom and use of a perfectly equipped kitchen. In fact, everything we needed. We liked it so much, we have just returned for another 4 nights last week. I...

If you don't like tents but what to try back to basics camping with a comfy classy bed and great facilities this is for you. Mark and Carol offer a small but well thought out small selection of yurts which are in good order with comfy beds, endless supply of seasoned wood for the wood stove and a private wet...

We just returned from 3 wonderful days at Caalm Camp. Myself and husband were a bit worried about taking a toddler 'camping'! Upon arrival our worries diminished! Mark greeted us and showed us around and we quickly realised we had over packed and should've booked a week! We have stayed in yurts elsewhere but Caalm Calm is head shoulders above...

A fantastic place to spend New Years with friends. Our yurt was extremely comfortable with fresh, clean linen and a cosy fire to keep us warm. Our host were very friendly and met us late in the evening (in the pouring rain) and showed us around everything. The main building was very modern and clean and it was nice to...

This was our first trip to Caalm Camp, and I think it will be the first of many. We had a perfect long weekend here. It was easy to find (always a bonus), the Yurt was spacious and comfortably accommodated the four of us (2 adults and 2 teenagers). The facilities that are promised on the website exceeded out expectations...

A rather overdue review with us returning to Caalm Camp for the fourth time in October. That's the beauty of the yurts - no matter how cold the weather gets, with a wood-burner in the middle to keep you toastie and lovely white duvets on the (very comfortable) beds, it's a pleasure to visit whatever the time of year. This...

What can I say that other reviews haven't said already? This is our third time at Caalm Camp, we absolutely love it here. It is a real retreat, a place for special downtime. Our son loves caalm too. Mark is just the best host, attentive and informative, always on hand if you need anything but never intrusive. We have been...

We had a hen weekend here, and hired the camp out exclusively which meant we had sole use of the cottage and all the facilities. It was perfect. The kitchen in the cottage has everything you could possibly need, the living space is massive, and the bathrooms are modern and clean. The yurts were even more lush than they look...
