We stayed here for 2 nights and we weren't aware there was parking until we go there however there is a massive car park opposite which is £1 for 24 hours which was good enough. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable however my partner said that it was extremely noisy at 1am and it sounded like someone was loudly taking a bath. We were out exploring for most of the day, but when we returned the room had been cleaned. The only negative thing I would say (apart from the noise) would be that there was no personal touch. I received a text in the morning asking what time we would be arriving and they may not be there and told me where the key would be located, however I responded with my arrival time and got no response. We arrived at 3pm,and could hear people downstairs but our key was in the keysafe and even when we checked out we were left a note telling us to leave our key downstairs. There was no greeting or goodbye throughout the stay despite hearing them in their living quarters downstairs. Saying this, I would recommend staying here if you are going to be exploring the countryside and literally just using it for sleeping. It is a short walk into the town center (even though everything appears to be seasonal).

If you are looking for a quiet get away near the beach this aint it! They live down stairs, my room was right above them, really loud every night with the tv, music and talking really loud till late hours, i did say something about the tv being too loud and they did turn it down but had to put up with it for most of my stay, they dont clean your room, their idea of cleaning is doing your bed (not changing the sheets) and topping up the tea bags etc, ive never stayed anywhere that doesn’t vacuum the floor and changes the sheets! Had a little fridge there but was so dirty i couldn't use it, really was a shame since the lady there does seem nice but need to take into consideration of guests staying and being so loud every night! Will be telling my work to not book people in there since my colleague was in the other room and had the same problem as me! As they were gonna book more people from my company there!

We spent 3 nights there, was able to explore Swanage and the area , very clean , room done every day, on the main road from Corfe but that is not a problem the A351, reason for 4 is parking is limited, did park on road and did move car if space available twice, which would have frustrated other people staying there, but we loved our stay, lovely dogs they have, other reviews says towels smell of dogs, absolutely no way now, girlfriend very sensitive to these things me not much sense of smell , close to town 10 minute walk max, good price , comfortable room , would recommend to friends

For £75pn you get no welcome, just a key in a keylock. A room that is crampt with a small shower room with a doors that don't close and a shower that has very poor water power. The towels smelt of dog, we asked for them to be replaced, and they were with more towels smelling of dog. The owners were watching TV next door very loudly. The only good thing is that the location is good, and we did love Swanage itself, but tried to spend as little as possible time in the room. For the same price point we expected a far higher standard of room, or breakfast.

Railway Cottage is well situated: a short walk to the beach, shops and the steam railway station. There’s room for a few guest cars behind the house - but we were told there were not enough when the place was fully booked, so it was first come, first served and if you move your car, you couldn’t guarantee there’d be a space for you when you got back. What we didn’t realise until we got there is that there’s a massive public car park opposite, so needn’t have worried too much. However, the car park appears to be taken over by youngsters on bikes in the evening and there’s no lighting. The room was okay. We had the family room, which was big enough for two really (I suspect it’d be a bit cosy for a family of four!). There wasn’t any toilet roll when we arrived (but it did appear a few hours later). There were beard trimmings in the sink from a previous guest too, so I have a feeling the room wasn’t quite ready. Although the bed linen was clean, I did get the feeling that the minimum of housework had been done (before we arrived and during our stay). Most surfaces had a fine layer of dust. As a minimum, the bathroom needs a towel rail, toilet brush (it didn’t flush very well most of the time) and a shower mat - it is quite a slippy bath. Overall, it was alright, but very expensive for what there was.
