We (my fiance and I plus our dog) stayed at the B&B for 2 nights in October. The en suite room was lovely and our dog was made very welcome. Unfortunately, the shower head was broken so the shower was virtually useless (dribbled out a thin stream of water). However, reading other reviews, I think this was just bad luck...

E stayed for 3 nights in July 2016 in room 9. I'd recommend this room - it looks over the front garden, is spacious enough and has a good ensuite. The breakfasts at Railway Cottage re very generous and unusual in that they are delivered to your room in a hamper. No fry-ups, but we didn't miss that! There is...

We had 2 wonderful nights at Railway Cottage so friendly homely and relaxed. The breakfast hamper was a revelation and an excellent idea. It was left outside our door in the morning and we were able to sit in the window in our PJ,s and have a relaxing breakfast. A selection of pastries cereal fruit yoghurt toast and preserves all...

Welcoming and helpful B&B run by a friendly team. The small double room (room 7) was more than adequate for a couple of nights. Nice location just outside the town centre, walking distance of everywhere, about 7 minutes from the railway station, and opposite a park with a playground. The hamper breakfast was a refreshing change from a full English,...

We were redirected to this place as our first choice had double booked us. I hadn't read up on any reviews so didn't know what to expect . I did have a picture of a cottage in my head as the bed and breakfast is called 'railway cottage ' and was surprised to see it as a house but we...

What a great place, were struggling to find any places as we wanted to take our dog with us. And what a great place, incredibly friendly and welcoming, very dog friendly, continental breakfast bought to your door in a hamper so you can breakfast with your dog. Really impressed, very clean and cosy. Great location with couple minutes walk to...

A rather different B&B. Arrived by luck as this was the first guest house with a vacancies sign. The room was small but well arranged with a similarly small but well arranged en-suite. The only below par item was the electric shower which was a bit weak with a head that was a bit leaky, a minor point. Great welcome...

Stayed for two nights, friday,Saturday, not bad value for the money but not sure with the continental breakfast, served to your door, but content we felt was poor regarding being given egg, bacon, cheese pasties for breakfast a bit to much grease and pastry overload.!!! Felt it was bit of a cop out for the £70 price tag.!! However the...

I have never replied to any reviews as obviously people are entitled to there own opinion - but I had to comment on this one for various reasons - The couple who stayed didn't know about the type breakfast we serve as they hadn't read our guest house description (which is very clear, and no one else has had a...
