Having recently returned from a six days stay in the Billet Doux we are still in awe about this holiday rental. The house is welcoming, all amenities are provided; the atmosphere could not be better. We have rented holiday apartments and houses in the UK for about 15 years, but we have never encountered a place as clean and lovely...

Just leaving after a lovely weeks stay at Billet Doux. Jude has recently bought the property so disregard the older comments. This property is a beautifully furnished very peaceful holiday property, from the welcoming wine, biscuits and flowers to Jude checking we had everything we needed it was a perfect base for walks & exploring Purbeck/Dorset. Just a short walk...

Just returned from a lovely stay at the Billet Doux--it was so good we extended our stay. There was confusion regarding conflicting previous reviews that we almost decided not to bother. However, after speaking with the present owner and airing our concerns we decided to book. We were not disappointed. Let's start by clarifying that the Billet doux is a...

This was our first stay in Purbeck and we received a warm welcome from David, Rowena, Ronnie & Reggie. We had a choice of rooms and opted for the twin overlooking the garden and the advantage of an en-suite. We enjoyed sitting outside on the veranda listening to the chickens and enjoying the afternoon sunshine. The only slight drawback of...

If you want a romantic, beautiful little apartment overlooking the rooftops of swanage and the sea with the isle of wight beyond... look no further! David and Rowena have obviously spent a lot of time and effort in making this little apartment what it is today. It is true to say that parking in the tiny tiny car park is...

Such a wonderful little hotel. The hosts, Rowena and David, are lovely people who have the guests needs and interests at the heart of what they do. The rooms are immaculate and decorated beautifully. Breakfast is awesome as well! We stayed here the night of our wedding and it was just perfect. Thank you for a great stay!

There is so much I could describe this; Beautiful, Warm Welcoming B&B I could give you but I would go on forever. We arrived on the Saturday afternoon and we were warmly greeted by Rowena and David, the Owners. They were so lovely we knew we chose a great place to stay. The thing I love is how it is...

This self catering apartment if treated as just an apartment is well equipped and decorated. As this is the groundfloor flat with one above and one below, it is subjected to a little noise, especially as the bedroom is facing the street / road and front entrance. As the neighbours are getting ready for work at 6am and commuter traffic...

I stayed here for one night with an Ozzie friend of mine whilst doing a stretch of the South West Coast Path. The place is a ten minute walk uphill out of town which might put people off but the centre of Swanage doesn't have much to offer as I write this and the place is situated in a lovely...

Stayed here for a long weekend earlier this month. Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well equipped and appointed (except no cups, just large thick mugs). Ideal location on the top of the town. Would definitely stay again.

“We preferred the twin room because of the en-suite and the garden view. The double overlooks the road, although it is a very quiet private road. The property is a bungalow, so both rooms are on the ground floor.”
